Feed And Fertilizer
Sales Are Increasing
Purchases of feed and fertiliser in
North Carolina continue to "soar up

announcing that total sales of ferti

1946, were 1,464,963 tons, as compar
ed with 1,360,799 tons for the same
period last year.
With regard to feed, Coltrane poin
ted out that despite the apparent scar
city, the largest quantities of fd
the record set in 1943 are being
sold. From July 1, 1945 to May 1,
1946, feed tonnage sold totaled 724,
716 tons, as against only 689,854 tons
in the period from July 1, 1944 to
May 1, 1945.
Since January 1 this year, sales of
feed have run to 266,371 tons, wnne
