BLLVIDERE NEWS The air in our village was filled wiJi music Sunday evening, December 24Ui, when a group of carolers and serenades, passing through, stopped near the Post Office and sang a num ber of , Christmas Carols. Thank you, whoever you were. Do it again! We welcome home for the holiday season the following young people: Marietta Jolliff, from Louisburg Col lege; Carolyn Hurdle, from Guilford College, and Willie Mae Chappell from Washington, D. C . , - Lt. Elmo Cannon, Jr., wife and chil dren from Enid, Oklahoma, are spend ing some time with Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Copeland. House guests of Mr. and Mrs. N. D. MEETS The Woman's 'Missionary Society of Wpodville Baptist Church met on Fri day night, December 11, at the home of Mrs. A. L. Gregory, with Mrs. Gregory presiding. ; ' The meeting opened with the sing ing of "O, Come All Ye Faithful." The devotional was given by Mrs. Annie- joyed by all with Mrs. E. Y. Berry, Mrs. Nina B. White, W. L. Madre, and Mrs. Colon S. Jackson winning prizes. Mr. Joe Towe read a Christ mas story. Gifts were exchanged af ter which delicious refreshments were served. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. E. Y. Berry, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Madre, Joan, Warner .Lee and Donald belle Whitley and Mrs. J. C. Wilson Madre, Mrs. Alfred Lane, Mrs. W. 0. led in prayer. The minutes were read, Hunter, Mrs. Milton Dale, Mrs. Nina and approved after which the roll B. White, Mrs. W. P. Lane, Mr. and called and dues paid. Those elected to serve as officers for the coining year are as follows: President, Mrs. A. L. Gregory; vice-president, Mrs. J. C.
