(Perquimans High School's debating team, composed of Marvina White and iMalbel Martin Whedbee, won over the Edenton debaters in the triangle con tests - held Thursday of last week, while, the team composed of Calvin Butt and Doris Faye Allen lost to the Elizabeth Ciity team. - ' 'Aa Sectional winneTs (Misses White and (Whedbee .participated in the dis trict debates held in Greenville on Thursday of this week. Jaycees Propose Soft Ball League The Hertford Junior Chamber of Commerce is working on plans to sponsor a soft ball league during the summer months, it was reported here this week. The Jaycees hope .to enlist the assistance of other civic organi zations in the formation of the soft ball teams. : " ID. F.
