RETURNED HOME Mrs. Edward Griffin has returned homo after spending several days with friends at Hickory. RETURNED HOME Tim Rufus Brinn from Rocky Mount spent several days last week at the Brinn home on Front Street. WEEK-END HERE Mr. and Mrs. S. P. Toney and sons Chris and James Corbin of Newport News, Va. spent tin week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Corbin Doiler. MOVED TO HERTFORD Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bryant and children, Betty, Mary and Tim from Gates County moved last week to Hertford at 315 N. Church St. Mr. Bryant has resumed his duties as County Farm Agent. FROM NEW YORK Mr. and Mrs. Ted Keldans from Brooklyn, N. Y. arrived last week to visit Murray Vick who is a patient at the Albemarle Hospital. IN HOSPITAL J. W. Ward was admitted to the Albemarle Hospital Saturday for observation and treatment. BRIDGE CLUB MEETS Mrs. J. T. Biggers was hostess to her bridge club Thursday night at her home on Market Street Those playing were Mesdames V. N. Darden, J. D. Coston, T. L. Jessup, C. R. Holmes, H. C. Stokes, G. W. Barbee, and Miss Mary Sumner. The high score prize went to Mrs. Darden. A sweet course was served. RETURNED HOME Mrs. Roy Reed returned to her home in Covington, Va. Tuesday after spending some time with her mother and sister Mrs. Guy Newby aqd Miss Frances Newby. SATURDAY HERE Mrs. Melvin Wright from Elizabeth Ctiy spent Saturday with Mrs. Jack Kanoy and Mrs. J. E. Everett. SUNDAY IN WILMINGTON ; Mr. and Mrs. Claude Winslow , their daughter and son-in-law 4 and family spent Sunday in Wilmington visiting Mr. and Mrs. Preston Winslow and family. ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED - Mr. and Mrs. Ray Godfrey of New Hope announce the engagement of their daughter, Sharoa Diane, to Mr. Terry Lee Noblitt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Noblitt of Belcross. Miss Godfrey graduated from Perquimans High School and is currently a junior in the School of Home Economics at East Carolina University. Mr. Noblitt graduated from Camden High School and attended COA.
