hereby given that because of the
existence of hog cholera in
Madison County, Mississippi;
Kent County, Delaware; Bristol
and Plymouth Counties in
Massachusetts; and
Perquimans, Chowan, and Gates
Counties in North Carolina, and
the nature and extent of out
breaks of this disease, portions of
the aforesaid Counties are
quarantined under amendments
of the regulations in 9 CFR Part
76. The restrictions pertaining to
the interstate movement of
swine and swine products from
and through quarantined areas
as contained in 9 CFR Part 76, as
amended, apply to the areas
quarantined. Notice is also
hereby given that portions of
Rock Island and Mercer
Counties in Illinois and portions
of El Paso County in Texas are
excluded from the areas
quarantined because of hog
cholera under amendments of
the regulations in 9 CFR.Part.76j
Therefore, the restrictions
pertaining to the interstate
movement of swine and swine
products from or through
quarantined areas as contained
in 9 CFR Part 76, as amended,
will not apply to the excluded
areas. However, the restrictions
pertaining to the interstate
movement from nonquarantined
areas contained in said Part 76
will apply to the excluded areas.
The document also deletes
Delaware from the list of hog
cholera eradication States and
the special provisions pertaining
to the interstate movement of
swine from and to such
eradication States under said
Part 76 are no longer applicable
to Delaware. The amendments of
the regulations will be published
in the Federal Register. Detailed
information concerning the
amendments may also be ob

crash somewhere in South
Vietnam. He was on his way
to visit wounded men of his
division. The fifth general
killed In the Vietnam war,
Gen. Casey was 48. His home
is in North Scituate, Mass.
FIRST CLASS RECOGNITION
POMPANO BEACH, Fla.
(AP) When Frank Ward and
his bride Andd stopped off here at
the end of their honeymoon one of
the first to greet them was Ted
Williams, manager of the Wash
ington Senators. Ward, a former
Brown University pitcher, had
spent some time years ago at
Williams summer camp.
Ward, a former Boston Park
League pitcher, is now the proper
ty of the Kansas City Royals and
was on his way to Daytona Beach
for spring training. Williams saw
the 6-foot-2 right handed hurler in
the stands here and recognized
him immediately.
Ward, who is from Rehoboth,
Mass., set a New York-Penn
League strikeout record when he
pitched for the Corning Royals in
1968. He fanned 16 Oneonta bat
ters in a 2-1 victory. Ward, 23 and
210 pounds, was signed by Bob
Murray of Nashua, N.H., for a
progressive bonus. He was gradu
ated from Brown last June with an
electrical engineering degree. Aft
er school he pitched for Waterloo,
Iowa, in the Midwest League in
1969.

United States, to provisionally
designate Perquimans County as
a part of an Economic
Development District.
