r - ' NEW SWIMMING CLASSES TO BEGIN "The final .classes of the first session of Red Cross beginning swimming lessons sponsored by the Perquimans County Extension Homemakers and 4-H Clubs are now underway. A new session will begin Monday, July 15. The classes run for 2 weeks at a cost of $10 for youth ages 6-14. For enrollment, come by Perquimans County Extension office or phone 426-7697. : Clam Changes ' "Z Anyone : who gathers clams this summer should read the recent changes in coastal commercial and sport fisheries regulations, according to law en forcement officials of the North Carolina Division of Commercial and Sports Fisheries. : A new regulation, cer tified June 27 by the Secretary of State, puts a minimum size limit on clams. No person shall take, attempt to take, possess, sell, or purchase any clams which have a shell length of less than VM inches. Fresh water clams are exempted from this regulation.
