' NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
.that special election will be held
1n the County of Perquimans, North
Carolina, on November 8, 1977, for
Jthe purpose of submitting to the
,qualified voters of said County the
iquesfion whether they shall ap
prove or disapprove, (1) the in
fdebtedness to be incurred by the is
suance of bonds of saw County of
the maximum principal amount of
. $1,850,000, which indebtedness shall
i be secured by a pledge of the Coun
ty's faith and credit, and (2) the
J levy of a tax for the payment of
Such bonds and (3) the bond order
entitled "Bond Order authorizing
the issuance of $1,850,000 School
Bonds of the County of Per
quimans," adopted by the Board of
Commissioners on August IS, 1977,
to authorize the issuance of said
bonds and the levy of such tax. The
School Bonds are authorized to
finance capital costs of providing
school facilities in Perquimans
' County, including the construction
and reconstruction of school
buildings, plants and other
facilities, the acquisition of
necessary land or rights-in land
and the acquisition and installation
of furnishings and equipment
necessary for such school facilities,
for the maintenance of public
schools in the County for the school
term prescribed by law. '
The ballots to be used at said elec-:
tlon shall contain the wbrds,
"SHALL the order authorizing
$1,850,000 of bonds secured by a
) pledge of the faith and credit of the
County of Perquimans for the pur
pose of paying capital costs of pro
viding school facilities in Per
quimans County, including the con-'
struction and reconstruction of
school buildings, plants and other
facilities, the acquisition of
necessary land or rights In land
and the acquisition and installation
of furnishings and equipment
necessary for such school facilities,
for the maintenance of public
schools in the County for the school
term prescribed by law, and a tax
to be levied for the payment
prescribed by law, and a tax to be

. approved?", with squares labelled
"YES' and "NO" beneath or beside
such words in which squares the
voter may record his choice.
In the event a majority of
qualified voters voting at said elec
tion vote to approve such order, the
incurring of such indebtedness and
the levy of such tax, said bonds
shall be issued and a tax shall he
levied for the payment of such
bonds.
The polls for the election will
open at the hour of :30 o'clock,
A.M., and will close at the hour of
7: 30 o'clock, P.M.
The election will be held at the

Carolina and encouraged
boys and girls aged 8
through 13 to participate in
this year's PP&K program.
PP&K, the largest youth
program of its kind in the
country, is sponsored joint
ly by the National Football
League and the Ford
Dealers of America. More
than one million youngsters
are expected to enroll for
the competition this year. .
Over 14 million have par
ticipated in the PP&K pro
grant since it began in 1961.
Youths aged 8 through 13
punt, pass and placekick
against others their own
ages. Scoring is based on
distance and accuracy.
