DARDEN CHURCH STREET HERTFORD, NC Moore-White exchange marriage vows Miss Glenda Dawn Moore and John William (Bill) White Jr. were united In marriage on Saturday, October IS, in a four o'clock candlelight ceremony in the Love Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Frank Bowers of Parkton, former pastor of the bride, officiated at the double-rin^ ceremony which included the lighting of the unity candle. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Moore of Route 2, Seven Springs. The Rev. and Mrs. John W. White Sr. of Dudley are parents of the groom. Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Lane are the grandparents of the bride, and daughter of the former Edna Ruth Lane. A program of wedding music was rendered by Mrs. Linda Carter, organist and vocalist. Other solists were Miss Eva Whittington of Charlotte, the bride and the groom. Escorted to the altar by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a formal gown of chantilly lace over bridal satin featuring a scalloped portrait neckline and fitted lace bodice em bellished with pearls. Tiny covered buttons accented the long pointed sleeves which ended in calla points over the wrists. The shoulders were accented with silk roses and satin bows as were the sleeves. Traditional bridal buttons accented the back of the bodice. The full skirt and cathedral train were edged with ruffles of lace. The gown was designed and made by the bride's mother. Her two-tiered chapel-length veil of silkened bridal illusion, containing face appliques, was attached to a lace-covered bridal crown adorned with pearls. She carried a cascade of white bridal silk French roses highlighted with ice blue, lavender and white silk baby's breath and a centered lavender-throated orchid nestled in Lady Di bridal lace. The bouquet was a teardop design featuring streamers of ice blue, lavender and white satin tied in love knots. The bride's jewelry included a pearl necklance belonging to her mother and a diamond heart necklace, a gift from the groom. Mrs. Phyllis Moore D'Amico of Schenectady, N.Y., sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Andi White and Meredith White of Dudley, sisters of the groom; and Michelle Munnerlyn of Mount Olive, friend of the couple. Honorary bridesmaids were Mrs. Mary Carson, Miss Renee McRae, Miss Tammy Sapp and Miss Portia James. Dan Horton was flower girl and Shawn Carter was ring bearer. Both are fiends of the bride and groom. John White was his son's best man. Ushers were Chris Moore of Barrington, R. I., brother of the bride; and Stan White of Dudley, brother of the groom; and Jeff Brogden of Wilmington, friend of the couple. Candlelighters were Chris Moore, brother of the bride, and Stan White, brother of the groom . After the vows were taken the groom sang "You Are So Beautiful," followed by the bride singing "The Sweetest Thing." The wedding was directed by Mrs. Phyllis Moore D'Amico. Mrs. Denise Burrow presided at the guest register. Miss Mandy Frost, friend of the couple, handed out rice bags. A reception followed the ceremony in the church fellowship hall. After a wedding trip to unan nounced points, the couple will be at home in Wilmington. The bride is a 1983 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. Prior to her marriage, she was employed by W. T. Cox Subscription Agency.
