June 29 - Fish fillet sandwich, macaroni salad, baked apples, cookies, milk. June 30 - Swedish meatballs, broccoli, juice, rice, bread, gravy, blueberry muffin, milk. July 1 - Barbecue chicken, butterbeans, mandarin oranges, macaroni & cheese, roll, jello, milk. July 2 - Cheeseburger, baked beans, coleslaw, apple turnover, milk. Clinic schedule The Perquimans County Health Department announces its schedule for June 28-July 2 as follows: June 28 - DEC all day July 1 - Immunizations 5-7 p.m. July 2 - General health in the afternoon, WIC all day Governor’s Award nominations Nominations are now being accepted for the 1999 Governor’s Awards for Outstanding Volunteer Service. These awards are presented annually to as many as eight recipients per county. Individuals, businesses and groups are recognized for their outstanding contributions to their communities. Nomination forms are available at the Perquimans County Library Please return the completed forms to the Library no later than June 24. igistration camp ir be a AYSO camp Ji AYSO rei There will be a AYSO camp June 28-July 2 at Northeastern High School. The 7-10-year old camp will be held 9 a.m.-noon, while the 11-and-over camp will begin at 5 p.m. For information, call George Howe, 264-3293. EIC meeting Economic Improvement Council Inc. (EIC) is now accept ing applications from low-income families for home weath- erization at no cost to applicants. This program will provide measures to include as needed: sealing and caulking of win dows, doors, and exterior surfaces, repair or replacement of windows and doors; insulation; and other minor repairs related to energy conservation. Interested and eligible fam ilies are requested to contact the county EIC office or call the Edenton office at 482-4458, ext. 126. * PAL annual meeting ; The Perquimans Arts League will hold its annual meet ing June 29, 2 p.m. in the Perquimans County Library All members are encouraged to attend to vote on a board of directors, new officers and by-laws. For more information, call Dolores Davenport 426-7486. Library Board meeting The Pettigrew Regional Library Board will meet June 28 at 7 p.m. at Captain Bob’s BBQ & Seafood Restaurant. Chamber of Commerce refocus The Perquimans County Chamber Board of Directors will meet each Tuesday at 8 a.m. in the Chamber office. Hall of Fame Square, until further notice. The purpose of these meetings will be to refocus the direction of the Chamber. Questions and comments from members may be directed to Carol LeRoy at 426-5657. AARP The Perquimans Chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons will meet June 28 at the Senior Center in Hertford at 2 p.m. Open Door new hours 'The Open Door will be closed on Wednesdays for the months of July and August.
