Lunch - Chicken nuggets or pizza, broccoli, carrots, fries, applesauce, roll, milk. Tuesday - Breakfast - French toast sticks. Lunch - Cheeseburger of hot dog, fries, green beans, baked beans, peach cup, milk. Wednesday - Breakfast - Sausage biscuit. Lunch - Spaghetti or ham & cheese sandwich, tossed salad, fries, peas, pears, roU, milk. Thursday - Breakfast - Apple turnover. Lunch - Grilled cheese sandwich or porkchoppette, fries, lima beans, black-eyed peas, apricot crisp, milk. Friday - Breakfast - Coffeecake. ARHS Clinic schedule The Perquimans County Health Department announces its schedule for April30-May 4 as follows: Tuesday - PediatSrics aU day Wednesday - Child health in the morning, pediat- ics screening clinic in the afternoon. Friday - General health aU day. The Perquimans County Health Department is located at 103 Charles St., Hertford, phone 426-2100. Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday There is a fee based on income. Patients are seen by appoint ment except for immunizations, sexually transmit ted diseases and general. Other services offered through ARHS include; Albemarle Rehabilitation Services, 338-4044; Albemarle Home Care, Albemarle Hospice, Jeff Jones HIV Care Consortium, 338-4066; Diabetes Care, 338-4370. Nutrition site menus Menus for the nutrition site at the Perquimans Senior Center for April 30-May 4 are as follows: Monday - Chili-con- came, garden salad, spiced apples, rice, dessert, milk. Tuesday - Oven baked porkchoppette, snap beans, juice, roll, mashed potatoes, dessert, milk. Wednesday - Honey baked ham, steamed cabbage, orange slices, corn muffin, boiled potatoes, dessert, mUk. Thursday - Barbecue chicken, peas, applesauce, roll, buttered noodles, dessert, milk. Friday - Beef stew, peaches, crackers, dessert, milk. Bovine and mad cow disease The Cooperative Extension Service will hold an educational meeting on Tuesday, May 1 at 7 p.m. at the new Chowan Agricultural Center at the corner of Virginia Road (Hwy. 32) and Granville Street. The meeting will address foot and mouth (FMD) and bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), also known as mad cow disease. Both diseases are of the utmost importance and many people are confusing the two. This will be an opportunity to have ques tions answered by a panel of experts. Celebrations \ Mr. and Mrs. James David Stradley Stradley, Winslow wed Sarah Elizabeth Winslow and James David Stradley of Raleigh were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 10 at Duke Chapel in Durham. The Rev. Jon Strother offi ciated. The Reader was the Rev. Neil Alan Willard. The bride’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Benton of Belvidere and the late EUis Winslow. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Ray David Stradley of Statesville. The groom is the grandson of Mrs. James Ramey Beam of Spruce Pine. Her father gave the bride in marriage. She wore a sheath gown of white cameo satin. Delicate vines of seed and barley pearls, with bugle bead accents, adorned the scoop neck bodice, flowing below the shaped waistline onto the straight skirt. Handrolled rosettes outlined the back neckline. Vines of beading cascaded down the Chapel length Wateau train. This will be the second public performance of the group, which was organized in September 2000 under the sponsorship of the College of The Albemarle. The goal of the group is to present major choral works at least twice a year. Guest artist, singing the role of Elijah, will be John Buford of Virginia Beach. The conductor is Rosalind MacEnulty and the accompanist is Jackie Copeland, who will be play ing the Cassavant pipe organ.
