By that time, I approached the scene trying to be inquisitive. Afterwards the officer entered his car and called for other officers. When they arrived, they began picking out certain persons even though there were 20 people there. They managed to “drag” five brothers and one sister to their cars and took them to jail. It appears that the “cops” stereotype our brothers and sisters because RIGHTS Continued from i^age (1) each person who they arrested had large “afros”. After' this scene, every “white” person that rode down that street was stoned and became the target of bottles for about an hour. Next we learned that our unfortunate brothers and sisters were the victims of a state charge of inciting a riot. Now they are faced with the chance of serving five to ten years which would ruin their future. DID YOU BUY YOUR CAR The 14-page booklet explains the purpose of aptitude tests, lists rules to follow, and includes a short sample test. It points out that not all tests are of a paper-and-pencil type; some have you work with your hands. THE BOOKLET tells the reader that aptitude tests are not the only way of fmding out what he can do, but they can be sign posts that point in the direction of success. . RALEIGH - Smallpox vaccination will no longer be required in North Carolina for children. The 1973 General Assembly has amended the State Immunization Law, granting the State Board of Health authority to decide whether routine smallpox vaccination of children is in the best interest of pubUc health. The N.C. State Board of Health, at its regular quarterly meeting in Pinehurst, has followed through by adopting regulations omitting smallpox vaccination from the list of required immunizations for children. This action follows recommendation by the U.S. Public Health Service, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and other medical groups that routine smallpox vaccination of children be discontinued in the United States. According to Dr. J. N. MacCormack, chief of the Communicable Disease Control Section of the State Board of Health, the move was based on statistics which show a rapid decUne in the world-wide incidence of smallpox. There has not been a case of smallpox reported in North Carolina since 1948. The public health official pointed out that the risk of dying from smallpox in this country is far less than that from a TRIBUNAL AID ADVERTISER ? Compliments Of HIGH POINT DATSUN 1601 S.
