MR. ANLREW McINTOSH, JR.
Andrew Mcintosh, age 51, of
44'i Gorrell St., died Sunday,
April 7th at L. Richardson Me
morial Hospital.
Funeral services were held
4:00 P.M. Thursday, at the Har
gett's Memorial Chapel. Rev.
Marion Jones, pastor of Sneed
Grove A.M.E. Zion Church of
ficiated and burial followed in
the Piedmont Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife,
Mrs. -Pauline Mcintosh, of
Greensboro; one sister, Mrs. Mo

April 14th following a brief ill
ness. She lived at 1506 Perkins

Cemetery.
The body remained at the
funeral home until the hour of

quet was Dr. George W. Gore,
president of F.A.M.U.
Link Athalie Range of Miami
is Southern Area's Woman of
the Year and was presented the
plaque by Link Edythe T. Jones
of Birmingham. Link Gussie
Dobbs presented her an orchid
from the Miami Chapter. Raleigh
Chapter received the Chapter of
the Year Award, which was pre
sented by Link Rose Branch of
the Jackson Chapter, with Link
Chloe Laws accepting for her
Chapter. Baton Rouge Chapter
received the Forniss Award for
the Most Cooperative Chapter,
with Link Thelma Glass of
Montgomery making the presen
tation and Link Jewell Thomp
son accepting for the Chapter.

North Carolina, South Carolina
and Virginia are expected to at
tend the annual secretarial work
shop of the Professional Secre
taries Association at A&T State
University, Saturday .April 20.
I Morning and afternoon ses
j sions will be held in the Uni
versity's Carver Hall, and the
conference luncheon will be held
at 2 p.m. in the Memorial Union
Ballroom.
Speaker at the luncheon will
be Dr. Elmore M. Kennedy, Jr.,
i a consultant engineer at the Gen
eral Electric Space Technology
Center in Philadelphia. Dr. Ken
nedy is a former professor of
; military science at A&T.
The morning session will be
addressed by Dr. George Grill,
assistant professor of business
and secretarial administration at
the University of North Carolina
at Greensboro.
Consultants for the workshop

of Burlington Industries, Mrs.

School; Mrs. Veda Stroud, Dr.
