NEW DEPARTMENT STORE TO OPEN HERE Kings Mountain’s nowest dqpart jpent store will swing Its doors opes to the public Saturday morning Oc iober 16th according to Mr. Id Cohen. The nerw store wiii carry : complete line of popular price', men’s, lai'/es’ and children’s clothin; and furnishings. Mr. Eli Cohen is one of nine broth ers who operate 11 stores. Mr. Cc hen will personally superbiise thi local store in conjunction with th< Mt. Holly and Belmont stores. Mr Ralph little of Mount Holly wi manage the local store. The first of the Cohen Depart ] mP'nt stores opened in Belmont in I 1927 and the business has steadily ! grown until 11 stores are now in op ' eration. Mr Cohen said: “We are happ> to . have a store in Kings Mountain, and . we extend a cordial invitation to everyone to visit us whether they make a purchase or not.” Cohen's Department Store will be located in the building three door* west of the Imperial Theatre.
