Cline is seriously ill in Shelby Hospital where she was taken after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage last Saturday morning. Her condition was reported on Thursday morning .as being extremely grave. Tommy Falls Has Fifteenth Birthday Dunedin, Fla. ?Tommy Falls was honored on Sunday, Jan. 25, the occasion being his fifteenth birthday anniversary, at a party which his mother, Mrs. Cyrus Falls, assisted by Mrs. John Royal, gave for the members of the Methodist Youth Fellowship at the Royal home. ( The group met following services at the church and enjoyed a variety of games. A large birthday cake was then served accompanied by ice cream. Norman was hostess on Wednesday aftemoor to members of the Colonel Frederick Hambright chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, at the home of Mrs. J. R. Davis. ; Mrs. Frank R. Summers, regent, was in the presiding chhir and conducted the business session which embraced a number of matters of importance to the chapter. A report was heard that the clothing donated for a student at Crossnore sehqol, a long wnn tne vtnristmas gtius lor her, had been sent in December. A note of thanks from the veterans at Oteen hospital, expressing gratitude for the gifts sent there by the chapr ter was read and an encouraging report that several Junior American Citizenship clubs have been organized in the schools was given. March was designated as the month for showers to the people on Ellis Island and to Indians. A motion was acepted that a bond which has been presented to the chapter by Miss Miss Edith Hambright in memory of her sister, Miss Mamie Hambright, be given to the Valley Forge Memorial Association to memoralize the late Miss Hambright. An excellent program from th^ DAR magazine was presented by Mrs. C. S. Plohk. Mrs. Plonk was assisted by Mrs. F. R. Summers who read the President General's message from the magazine, and Mrs. W. T. Weir, who gave an article on 'Federal Aid-Eor Education." After the program, Mrs. J. S. Norman, chairman of the Girl Homema<ers committee, introduced four members of the Home Economics ilass of Central School who modeled he cotton dresses which they made ind which they entered in the chapters contest. Judges chose the dress made and modeled by Joan Blalock tor first place while honorable mention was given the dress of Jo Lynn. Winning first place in the chapter's lontest will make Miss Blalock eli- j jible to enter her garment in the rtate contest.
