DAVID MOORE WEILL Miss lean Cannon Webb Weds David Moore Neill Saturday Night a weuaing oi much interest to' Carolina society and one of rare beauty and charm was that of Miss Jean Cannon Webb, daughter of Mr. and Mjs. Richard Halbert Webb to Jiavld Moore Neill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ruren Shuford Nelll which was solemnized in the First Presbyteri an chltrch Saturday night at eight o'clock. Rev. P. D. Patrick, pastor of the bride, officiated, vising the double ring ceremony. The vows were spoken before, an altar arrangement of palms, wood wardia fern, wrought iron candela bras holding cathedral tapers in terspersed with wrought iron floor baskets of white gla'doli, tuberoses, asters and baby's breath. The spe cial pews were marked with bou quets of white sarin ribbon and as ters. Weddmg Music Prior to and during the ceremony, Mrs) Virginia Parsons Rosenthal, or gani.it; Miss Patty Harris- of Ameri cus, Ga., soprano, and Rillie Gene Amos, "baritone, rendered a program of nuptial music. Before the ceremo ny Mrs '.Rosenthal played "Always," by Berlin, "Ava Maria," by Shubert Theme from "Piano Concerto No. I," by Trachiakswky,. "Clair de Lune" by DeRussy, "Liebestraum" by Liszt. Miss Harris sang "Through The Years" by You mans, and Mr. A- i mos sang "Recause" by De'Haredlot. JFor ihe processional the wedding march from "Tannl^ausor" was play f d for the bridesmaids and the wed ding march from "Lohengrin" for I he bride. 'To a Wild Rose" was .softly played during the ceremony and Mendelssohn's march from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" for the recessional. ? The bride given in marriage by her father, wore a wedding gown of Chantillty ia<e and French marqui- 1 sette over bridal satin. The fitted bodice was of Chantilly ' 'w fash ioned with a round yoke of marqui sette outlined with hand made rose petals of self material and buttoned dowji the back with tiny satin cov ered buttons, the hip length bodice \WJW Joined to the skirt in a graceful , outline and edged with rose petals to match the yoke. The bouffant marquisette skirt over net over sa tin, fell softly over the hips with en appllqued design and handmade rose petals matching the yoke end -ing in a full Cathedral train. Her long gauntlets of Chantiliy lace pnded with calla lily points o\jer r the J>an&s. , . ?t*r f*o tiered Chapel length veil of imported French illusion was . worn with a lace halo edgo<J with rose petals matching those of her gown and centered with rings of seed pearls. She carried a white sa tjn Bible topped with two white orchius entwined with matlne and showered with maline and stepph anotls, Her only ornament was a (rtrand of pearl?, gift of the groom. Wedding Attendants 1 Miss Nancy Wilson of Bartow, Fla., cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Mrs. Jack Fortune of Hick ! ory, sister of the bridegroom, was j matron of honor. Their dresses were of white embroidered organza over mint green taffeta, fashioned as the hon or attendants. They carried similar bouquets tied with green satin ribbon. Attending the ceremony as guest of honor were a group of the bride's ' close friends who entered the church , just before the mothers of the young couple and were seated In a special ' pew. Garlands of ivy. were draped over the doors and windows, Magnolia leaves bor dered the floor. Floor baskets of pink and white crepe myrtle were used effectively around the room. An oblong basket of pink crepe myr tle was on the piano. 'Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Wilson ot Bar tow, Fla., presided over the register. On the desk by the register was a nosegay of sweet heart roses, show ered with white satin ribbon, an an tkjue candelabra wirh white tapers completed the arangement. In the lounge, the mantle held a low floral decoration in white with crys tal candeiabras on cither side. On the end tables were little nosegays of dainty white - flowers grouped in fours. For a wedding trip to the moun tains of North Carolina the bride wore a f>ink suit with navy and white accessories and orchids at her shoulder. -Mrs. Nelll is a graduate of the Kings Mountain high school and at tended Greensboro College. She was a member of the Emerson Society. Mr. Neill also graduated from the Kings Mountain high school. He received a B. S. degree in Economics from Davidson College.
