North Carolina's only woman Marine recruiter will be In the city Thursday from 8 a. m. to 4:30 p. m., at the Post Office building, Master Sgt. Albert M. Bray, in charge of Marine recruit ing here, announced today. Staff Sergeant Geraldine A. Lee, of the staff of the Raleigh office, will be here to interview interested woman applicants con cerning enlistment In the Marine Corps. "Requirements for enlistment," the sergeant explained, "are, ap plicants must be between the ages of 18 to 30; mUst be high school graduates, and mUst be able to pass the required physical and mental examinations." Those accepted for enlistment are assigned to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island, S. C., for six weeks indoctrination, prior to being assigned to a regu lar unit. . Woman Marines are presently being assigned jobs in administra tion, aviation, supply, disbursing, and photography, at most posts and stations in the United States, and in Hawaii.
