Doctor Faces
Court Charges
An Ohio doctor is scheduled to
face two counts in City Record

result of a three . car collision at
the intersection of Gold street and
Battleground avenue, Saturday
evening around 6:25.
Dr. Wallace Chiles, whose ad
dress was listed on police records
as Springfield, Ohio, was charg.
ed minutes after the accident by

drunk and carrying a concealed
weapon.
According to police records, Dr.
Chiles operating a 1954 Chrys.

turn off Gold street into Battle,

mer meeting .Friday, June 7th at
Compact High School. Presiding
Officer Leonard Brown conducted
the opening ceremony, after
which the report of the nominat
ing Committee was given by
Douglas Miller. The Nominating
Committee reported the results of
the 29th annual convention of
the North Carolina Association of
the New 'Farmer’s of America,
which was held at A & T College,
Greendboro. This was given by
the delegate, Douglas Miller. Fol
lowing the report of convention
activities, came the election of
officers for the year 1957-58. They
were as follows: Douglas Miller,
president; Edgar'Lee Adams, vice
president; Leonard Brown, secre
tary; Carl E. 'Dye. Treasurer;
Paul ;F. Perkins, reporter.
The newly elected officers con
ducted the closing ceremonies
and refreshments were served.
Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Adams and
family motored to Nashville,
Tenn., to attend the graduation
