Mr. Weathers Is a member of the staff of the Kings Mountain Herald. * ♦ * ♦ * CLUB TO SHOWER HOME Junior Woman's club members will hold their annual baby shower for benefit of the Children s Home Society of North Carolina at Monday night’s meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the Woman’s club. New officers for the year will assume their duties with Mrs. Cal Fisher as president. A representative of the Children’s Home at Greensboro will present the program. June bride-elect, was honored ll” last Tuesday at a luncheon held at the Country club. Hostesses were Mrs. Hugh Ormand 'and Mrs. George W. Mauney. The 12 guests were served a four-course luncheon from a long table decorated in a color motif of green and yellow. Summer baskets of green and yellow flowers decorated the table with runners of wide yellow satin ribbon tied with bows. The bride-elect's place was marked by a corsage of yellow carnations and the hostesses wedding gifts. Miss Mauney wore a brown party dress with yellow accents.
