Church Kindergarten enjoyed a picnic Tuesday morning. Tlie ■ four year group had its picnic at I the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Blanton. One five year group was at the home of Mr. and Mrs. ' William Davis and the other ' group went to Rankin Lake. J V h WIN GOLDEN TROPHIES — Local Teenage Driving Champions received winged golden trophies ot the State Jaycee Driving Roadeo just ended in Greensboro. The trophies were presented by the North Carolina Motor Carriers Association, Inc. at the state wide Jaycee event. Shown at left is NCMCA President T. Bragg McLeod of Charlotte, president of Moss Trucking Company, mak ing presentation to Carolyn Long and Jimmy Ware, both of whom represented the Kings Mountain Jovcees in the state competition. Graduation exercises were held Wednesday morning at 10:fX) in the church sanctuary. The four ! year-group sang a welcome song and were introduced by their, teacher, Mrs. Tommy Bridges.' Maty took up sewing a couple of years ago and is already mak ing dresses for herself and Shir ley. She's presently taking a course to improve her sewing skills. If you ask Buck how he passes his leisure time, the first word he says is motorcycle. Buck got his first motorcycle over two years ago imd one of his Sunday afternoon rides took him to Moggie Valley and doing excellent work in the preventive maintenance pro- grom. Mary began her textile career in the Knitting Depart ment at Croftspun. She has estoblished o record of being dependable and producing qua lity work since the beginning.
