KM Junior Pee Wees Open With 27-0 Win \ Kings Mountain’s junior pee wee football team opened its season Saturday with a 27-0 win over Belmont. The KM entry will battle Mount Holly Saturday at 5 p.m. at City Stadium. Three games will be featured, beginning at 1 p.m. The Optimist Club will operate the concession stand during all three ballgames. Derrick Williams gained 118 yards rushing and scored on a 53 yard run to spark the KM of- fense. Brandon “Jabo” White scored on runs of 7 and 23 yards and Andy Hollifield scored on a six yard run and ran for an extra point. Norris Degree and Dyron Bell also scored extra points. Hollifield passed for 10 yards Mountaineer Runners Win Kings Mountain High School’s crosscountry team finished first in a Southwestern 3-A Conference meet Thursday at North Gasotn High School. Jimmy Barrett was Kings Mountain’s fastest runner, finishing third overall. Monte Huffstetler finished fourth and Todd Hughes seventh. Lisa Ingram finished first for girls. Classes Planned \ The Continuing Education Department of Cleveland Technical College has scheduled the following courses: Macrame begins Sept. 19, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at North Elementary School. The class will meet each Monday evening until November 21, 1983. The instructor will be Linda Smith, Total hours 20. The registration fee is $15.00.
