iP The Churches Macedonia Program Set The Adult Macedonia Baptist Church will present “Night of Miracles” by John W. Peterson on Sunday Morning, December 18, during the Morning Worship Service, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The birth of Christ was indeed a night of miracles..a night when centuries old prophecy came miraculously true, a night Choir of when shepherds were awe- stricken by a gloriously brilliant heavenly host that told of the birth of the Prince of Peace; a night when God sent His only begotten Son for the redemption of mankind. Delores White, Minister of Music, invites the public to at- tend. Central Circles Meet Circles of - Central United Methodist Church are meeting this week. Mrs. W.D. Werner was hostess to members of Circle 4 at her home Monday evening and Mrs. Vernie Mae Allran enter- tained members of Circle 6. The Tuesday morning Circle No. 2 met at the home of Mrs. Wilda Trout. Mrs. Jim Dickey entertained members of Circle 3 on Wednes- day morning at 10. Circle 8 will hold a Christmas party Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the church. On Saturday afternoon, Dec. 17th, the Russell Fellowship Class will gather for a Christmas party at the church. ABC’s Of Christmas The Kings Mountain Church of God, located at 111 East Parker Street, will present a pro- gram by the children entitled, “The ABC’s of Christmas” and “The Night Before Christmas” in the morning worship service on Sunday, December 18 at 11 a.m. Also, on December the 18th in the evening worship service at 6 p.m., the choir will present the Cantata entitled, “The Prince of Peace” by Rodger Strader. Pastor Kenneth R. Looney in- vites the public to attend these two special services. Caroling Sunday Central United Methodist Church members will go caroling in the community Sunday and deliver Christmas baskets to shut-ins beginning at 5S p.m. The Christian Adult Sunday School Class will gather for a Christmas social at 7 p.m. Sun- day night. Dress rehearsal for the Christmas play and pageant is Wednesday night at 7 p.m. Winter Semester Set The Ebenezer Seminary EX- tension Center located in Shiloh Baptist Church, 1000 Franklin in Shelby will begin its winter semester January 10. Registra- tion will be at 4:00 p.m. Courses taught this semester are I Corinthians and Galatians. This is a ten week course for which you can earn seminary credit. December 15. 1983 Advent Last in a series of community- wide Advent services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 12:05 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church. A light lunch will be served by women of the church after the service. A donation of $1 will be received. Ministers of the community have been sharing the leadership of the services each Wednesday. Musicale A Christmas musicale entitled, “Super Gift From Heaven” will be presented by the Children’s Choir of East Gold Street Wesleyan Church on Sunday morning at the 11 o'clock wor- ship service. The public is invited to attend. Joy Gift The traditional Joy Gift Ser- vice and Christmas program at First Presbyterian Church will be held at the 11 o’clock worship service Sunday morning. Children, who received collec- tion of “mite” boxes during the Advent Season, will present them during the service as a Joy Gift offering to support retired ministers. Special music will be presented by the Choir under the direction of Mrs. Darrell Austin. Paper Drive This Weekend Central United Methodist Church is sponsoring a paper drive. Citizens who want to donate newspapers should deposit them at the church parking lot this weekend, Friday through Sun- day, Dec. 16-19. CHRISTMAS PLAY Love Valley Baptist Church will present the play “Christmas Comes to Detroit Louie” Sunday at 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
