Pr Jim Testa Chevrolet To Expand Business From Page 1-A hire at least 20 new employees by the end of next year. The company now employs 30 peo- ple. “Business has increased dramatically and we are now negotiating purchase of three ad- ditional lines of vehicles, as we have expanded to become one of the largest dealers in the area. Where new vehicles are concern- ed we have increased business since moving from downtown 500 percent”, said Testa. Testa said that other changes will include the addition of a se- cond shift in the Service depart- ment for the convenience of working people. Tests said that target date for completion of construction is Feb. 1 and that local contractors will be utilized. American Builders of Roebuck, S.C. will construct the new metal frame ee building with masonry front for the new showroom. “We're very excited about ad- ding new lines of cars and vehicles and about our expan- ston plans,” said Testa. Miss Greene is from Tryon and is doing a super job here. We also welcome Dr. Bruce Wallace as the new medical director and Dr. Archie Ellis, trained counselor. Dr. Ellis will be available each Monday morn- ing to counsel with staff members, patients or family members. It’s a busy season at Kings Mountain Convalescent Center. Thirty-eight patients and volunteers went on a shopping trip to Cleveland Mall on Nov. 29th. Patients had an opportuni- ty to shop for Christmas gifts, talk to Santa and see all the beautiful Christmas decorations. They also enjoyed hotdogs, ice cream and other snacks at the Little Moo in the Mall. KMCC appreciates Temple Baptist Church for the use of their - church van and Butch Cooke who drove the van. A very enjoyable trip for residents was a trip to McAden- ville to see the Christmas lights on Dec. 6. We appreciate First Baptist Church and First Wesleyan Church for the use of their vans and Allen Jolley and Charles Ware * for driving the scheduled for Dec. 21 in the din- ing room. Highlight of the party will be a visit from Santa who will distribute gifts to all. Family members will be on hand to share in the fun.
