. i JEAN WEBB NEILL Memorial services for Mrs. Jean Webb Neill, 54, of 4565 Woodlark Lane, Charlotte, who died Saturday of a heart attack, were conducted Tuesday after- noon at 3 p.m. from Providence United Methodist Church of Charlotte of which she was a charter member. Mrs. Neill was a native of Concord, daughter of R., Halbert of Kings Mountain and the late Mrs. Webb. Surviving, in addition to her father, are three daughters, Kathy Herran and Allison Neill, both of Charlotte, and Libby Sturgis of Rock Hill, S.C., one brother, Dick Webb, of Rich- mond, Va. and four grand- children. Graveside services were held Tuesday morning at 11 am. from Oakwood Cemetery in Concord. MRS. A.H. BRYANT Eva Mrs. AH.) Bryant of Hico, West Virginia, mother of Rev. Gary Bryant, former pastor of Kings Mountain’s First Presbyterian Church, died Sun- day morning. Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home of Amstead, West Virginia, is in charge of funeral arrangements. Rev. Mr. Bryant is now pastor of Charlotte’s Paw Creek Presbyterian Church. PAUL FOURSHEE Funeral services for Paul W. Fourshee, 75, of Hickory, step- brother of Lela Painter of Kings Mountain, were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. from West Lincoln Baptist Church by Rev. Leon Davis and Rev. Dennis Spence, interment following in St. Paul’s Baptist Church Cemetery in Casar. : Mr. Fourshee died Thursday at Catawba Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Cleveland County, son of the late James Wardell and Letha Stirewalt Fourshee. His wife was the late Doshie Buff Fourshee. CLIFFORD JONES Funeral services for Clifford Raymond Jones, 65, of 25 Laney St., Shelby, father of Bobby Jones of Kings Mountain, were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. from Lattimore Baptist Church by Rev. Joe Edwards, Rev. Joel Jenkins and Rev. Bob Cliné, in- terment following in the chuich cemetery. Mr. Jones died Thursday at Cleveland Memorial Hospital in Shelby. : A native of Cleveland Coun- ty, he was a retired overseer with Dover Textiles and was a member of Lattimore Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Robert and Ella Towery Jones. Surviving are his wife, Mary Whisnant Jones; two sons, Bob- by Jones of Kings Mountain and Max Jones of Lattimore; a daughter, Elsie Weathers of Clif- fside; three brothers, Paul, Em- mett, and Winford Jones, all of Lattimore; two sisters, Margaret Hardin and Florence Mode, both of Lattimore, and eight grandchildren. Broad St., Gastonia, who died Wednesday at his home, were conducted Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. from the Salvation Ar- my Church, entombment follow- ‘ing in Gaston Memorial Park. "Major John Sipe officiated at the service. Mr. Fite was a native of Kings Mountain, son of the late Arthur R. and Grace Hope Fite. He was employed by the Salvation Ar- my in Gastonia and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Surviving are his wife, Helen Haskett Fite; three sons, Lewis and Clyde Fite of Gastonia, and ARthur Fite of Portsmouth, Va., a daughter, Wanda Gail Bridgeman of Gastonia; two brothers, Thomas Fite of Forest City and Charles Fite of Kings Mountain; three sisters, Clara Bivens of Cherryville, Hazel Sheehan of Forest City and Helen Peterson of Shelby; and six grandchildren. BROOKS Funeral services for Byron Taylor Brooks, 74, of 303 Wilson Terrace, who died Tues- day at Kings Mountain Hospital after several year’s illness, will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. from Harris Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Kelly Dixon and Rev. James Sanders will officiate at the rites and interment will be in Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Kiser of Charleston, S.C., Mrs. Betty Gardner of Grover, Mrs. Jeanette Houser of Gastonia, and Mrs. Patsy Koenig of Charlotte. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, five great- grandchildren and two brothers and seven sisters. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7 until 9 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home. MRS. ARZIE D. McSWAIN Funeral services for Mrs. Ar- zie Dover McSwain, 81, of Route 7, Lincolnton, who died Monday in Lincoln County Hospital, were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. from David Memorial Baptist Church, interment following in the church cemetery. Mrs. McSwain was widow of Leslie Walker McSwain and was a native of Cleveland County, daughter of the late Samuel Mar- tin and Clara Blanton Dover. Surviving are three sons, Ed- ward McSwain, Donald Mec- Swain and Jerry McSwain, all of Lincolnton; one daughter, Mrs. Jeanette Armstrong of Lin- colnton; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Wright of Kings Mountain and Mrs. Geneva dover of Lin- colnton; 16 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.
