MR. AND MRS. WILLIAM MORGAN ...celebrate 40th anniversary Mr. And Mrs. Morgan Note 40th Anniversary On October 26th, 1945 William Morgan, celebrating his 31st Birthday, took as his bride Miss Sarah Borders of Shelby. This joyous occasion took place in Gaffney, S.C. Sarah and William, now residents of Kings Mountain, are members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Over the years together, their family as grown to include a son, Arthur, his wife Deborah and a grandson Fredrick. To celebrate their 40th year wedding anniversary and Will’s 71st birthday, his sister, Mrs. Rachel William- son planned a surprise re- dedication ceremony, recep- tion and birthday party in Baltimore, Maryland. This glorious occasion was attended by family and friends who met on Saturday, October 26 at 7 p.m. at the Howard Park United Methodist Church, Baltimore,Maryland. The wedding party included Mrs. Bonita Woods, the Maid of JEFF LINEBERGER Lineberger Commissioned Jeff Lineberger of Route 2, Dallas has been commission- ed as a nuclear propulsion of- ficer in the United States Navy. Ensign Lineberger received his commission on September 26, following 16 weeks of training at Naval Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. A 1985 graduate of N.C. . State University, he is the son of Harold and Patsy Lineberger of the Dallas- Stanley Highway, former Kings Mountain residents. At OCS, Jeff took courses focused on providing new of- ficers with a basic understan- ding of the Navy, such as seamanship, piloting, celestial navigation, engineering and Naval leadership. He graduated . with distinction, finishing fifth in his class of 355. Currenily, Jeff is on tem- porary duty as a data systems analyst for the Nuclear Submarine Officer Programs Manager in Washington, D.C. In February, 1986 he will report to Naval Nuclear Power School in Orlando, Florida to begin six months of nuclear propulsion training. BOOSTER’S CLUB__ The Kings Mountain High Booster’s Club will meet Monday at 7 p.m. at Barnes Auditorium. Plans for winter sports projects and fund rais- ing projects will be discuss- ed, All members and those in- terested in joing the club are urged to attend.
