Page 8A-KINGS MOUNTAIN HERALD-Wednesday, May 11, 1988 Rotary Majors Leader Rotary fell to Lions 7-4 but held on to its one-game lead in local Dixie Youth Major League baseball action Monday night at Jake Early Memorial Park. Rotary, 5-2, will play Home Federal Savings and Loan Thurs- day at 7:30. The Lions face Hardees at 6 p.m. Sharee Hopper hurled the win and also went 3-for-3, including a homer, to lead the Lions. Bran- don Putnam and Michael Cobb added two hits each for the win- ners and Timmy Harrelson was 2-for-3 and Bryan Leftwich, Travis Queen and Kelly Ware ad- ded one hit each for Rotary. Rotary whipped Hardees 22-8 last Thursday. Leftwich was the wining pitcher. Harrelson led the Rotary plate attack with a perfect 5-for-5. Kyle Sellers and Bobby Peterson were 4-for-5 each and Sellers hit a home run. Queen and Leftwich were 2-for-3 each, Patterson 3-for-4, and Ware and Josh Newton had two hits each.
