NEAL SCISM Tammy Hutchins Hutchins-Scism Couple Wed At Patterson Grove Church Patterson Grove Baptist Church was the setting Aug. 6 for the wedding of Tammy Kay Hut- chins and Jack Neal Scism, Jr. Rev. Reimund Allmond, god- father of the bride, was assisted by Rev. Richard Plyler, minister of the church, in officiating at the double-ring candlelight ceremony. Jerri Tate was pianist, Faye Dellinger was organist, Kevin Bolin was trumpeter and Bobby Davis was vocalist for the pro- gram of wedding music. The bride was given in mar- riage by her father. She wore a formal wedding gown of white bridal satin accented with sparkling jewels. The front and back English net yoke separated the Schiffli embroidered Sabrina neckline and the re-embroidered lace bodice. The bodice was enhanced by pearls and iridescents, scrolls and pearl droplets. The back bodice also featured re-embroidered lace ap- pliques. Glistening jeweling was continued on the re-embroidered lace on English net inserts of Renaissance sleeves. An elaborate jewelled fan motif of re-embroidered lace at the MRS. DANNY RAY ARROWOOD natural waist also featured pearl and crystal droplets. The back basque waist was edged with a re-embroidered lace jeweled band and a satin draped butterfly bow was trimmed with matching appliques. The full skirt had a Schiffli embroidered scalloped hemline and a pearl edged chapel train. She carried nosegay cascade of pink silk roses, white daisies, white carna- tions baby’s breath and greenery. Miss Buffy Hutchins attended her sister as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Nicole Gnandt, Mrs. Shannon Sellers, Miss Erin Joy, all of Kings Moun- tain, and Mrs. Dana Floyd of Polkville, sister of the bridegroom. Junior attendant was Michelle Hutchins of Kings Mountain. Jennifer Scism, daughter of the bridegroom, was flower girl. Adam Floyd of Polkville was ringbearer. The Rev. Stanley Webb of- ficiated at the 2 p.m, ceremony. A program of wedding music was presented by pianist Chloe Caldwell and vocalist Sharon Cody. Bridesmaids were Donna McDonald of Quilters To Meet The Foothills Quilters Guild will hod its August monthly meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. in Cleveland County Office Building Auditorium on South Post road in Shelby across from Cleveland Community College. This will be a workshop meeting featuring the Log Cabin block led by Ethel McGinnis, a guilting instructor from Kings Mountain. Gastonia and Barbara Byers of Kings Mountain. Flower girl was Mandy Ricker of Anderson, S.C. and ringbearer was Matthew Jenkins of Rock Hill, S.C. Ethel Bumgardner of Polkville attended the register. The bridegroom chose his son, Robert Arrowood, as best man. Ushers were Bob Jenkins and Robert Jenkins, both of Rock Hill, S.C. Sons of the bridegroom, Nathan and Brad Arrowood of Kings Mountain, served as acolytes. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Burton of Shelby. A graduate of the Univer- sity of North Carolina at Charlotte and Western Carolina University, she is employed with the Kings Mountain District Schools as a sixth grade teacher. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Mary Lou Arrowood of Kings Mountain and Ray Ar- rowood of Grover. A graduate of Kings Mountain High School, he is employed with Philips-Dupont Optical Corporation. Following a wedding trip to the North Carolina mountains, the ne will make their home in Shelby. MRS. JAMES W.
