JAMES TIMOTHY ABEE Sanders-Abee Maylo United Methodist Church at Ranlo was setting for the Saturday wedding uniting Penny Meshelle Sanders and James Timothy Abee. The Rev. Charles Moore, pastor of Shelby's Lafayette Street United Methodist Church, officiated the 4 p.m. double-ring ceremony. Doris Terry was organist, Karla Pursley was pianist, Bruce Pursley and Sandra Sharpe were soloists and Bruce Pursley was trumpeter for the program of nuptial music. The bride's brother, Trent Sanders, gave her in marriage. Susan McAlister of Kings Mountain was matron of honor and Ann Marie Sanders of Kings Mountain was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Patty Blanton of Belmont, Kim Brown and Becky McDonald, both of Gastonia, and Cathy Lewis of Ranlo. Katelyn ‘Lowder of Gastonia was flower girl and Chris Lewis of Ranlo was ring- bearer. Melvin Abee of Belmont was his brother's best man. See Sanders, 3-B pen MRS. ROBERT SCOTT KELLUM Milewska-Kellum St. Michael's Catholic Church of Gastonia was the setting Saturday for the 3 p.m. wedding uniting Jolanta Maria Sabina Milewska and Robert Scott Kellum: Rev. Bob Hudak of Greensboro officiated the ceremony. Mrs. Annette Raymond of Athens, Ga. was organist and harpsi- chordist for the program of nuptial music. Andrzej Milewski escorted his daughter to the altar and gave her in marriage. The bride's formal wedding gown was a Bianchi Original of lace and satin. The lace and beaded, fitted bodice was enhanced by long sleeved leg’ o' mutton sleeves and high neckline. Back lace scallops and sheer veiling came 10'a V and butioned from neck to waist. The full satin skirt was complemented by a chapel-length train. She carrigd a bouquet of white and pale pink orchids, blush sweetheart roses, stephanotis and ivy. QUINTON RAY RIKARD Yarbro-Rikard Mr. and Mrs. Quinton Ray Rikard, who were wed Saturday, are on a cruise to The Bahamas. Miss Julie Ann Yarbro became Mr. Rikard's bride in a 7 p.m. candle- light wedding in Boyce Memorial Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Rev. Harold Mace and Dr. John W. Sloan heard the exchange of vows. The program of wedding music was presented by Norman FE. McGill III, organist; Mrs. Barbara Hord Fulton, vocalist; Mrs. Ellen Eades Griffin, flutist; and the Handbell Choir of Bradley Memorial United Methodist Church. John Floyd Yarbro Sr. escorted his daughter to the altar and gave her in marriage. The bride wore an exquisite candlelight gown of silk organ- za and reembroidered lace. The fitted bodice was overlaid with English net embroidered with reembroidered Alencon lace which was enhanced with lace motifs. COLIN MIKE MATHESON Mauney-Matheson Mr. and Mrs. Colin Mike Matheson, who were wed April 21, have re- turned from a wedding trip to Mexico and are residing in Lakewood, Colorado. The garden at the home of (c bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles FE. Mauney on N. Roxford Road in Kings Mountain, was setting for the 2 p.m. ceremony in which Carla tlizabeth Mauney became Matheson's bride. Rev. Harwood T. Smith, the brik's pastor, of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, heard the exchange of vows. A string quartet from the Charlottc Symphony presented the music for the ceremony and Chris Cole of Kings Mountain was trumpeter. STEPHEN PATRICK SHAFFER Burns-Shaffer Castle McCulloch in Jamestown was the setting for the outdoor wed- ding Saturday uniting Starr Eugenia Burns and Stephen Patrick Shaffer in marriage. The Rev. Eugene Land of Kings Mountain, the bride's pastor, of Second Baptist Church, officiated at the ceremony for which wedding music was presented by Wayne Seymore of Reidsville on the hammer dulcimer. Robert Averett, brother-in-law of the bride, gave her in marriage. The bride's wedding gown was a formal design by Laura Ashley of ivory cotton brocade. She carried a bouquet of white roses and ivy. Debbie Burns Averett was her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Linda Macaulay Mitchell of Winston Salem, Susan Shirley Hubbard of South Boston, Va., Beth Shaffer Schlitt of Charlottesville, Va. and Chloe Wellons of Goldsboro. All the attendants wore pink cotton tea length formals designed by See Burns, 2-B DARICIA DIANE CLIPPARD Clippard-Stacey James D. Clippard and Ms. Daricia J. Gibson, both of Kings Mountain, announce the engagement of their daughter, Daricia Diane, to Ronald Lee Stacey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Stacey of Kings Mountain. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Clippard of Kings Mountain and Mrs. Vera Mae Gibson of Mount Holly and the late George Gibson. She is a 1988 graduate of Kings Mountain Senior High School and is employed as a construction coordinators assistant at Construction Project Management in Fort Bragg. ; Stacey is a 1986 graduate of Kings Mountain Senior High Schol.
