Peeler of Kings Mountain The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert W. Black of Fairfax, Va. and Mrs. A.S. Briggs Sr. of Lynchburg, Va. She graduated from East Carolina University with a major in Interior Design and a mi- nor in Art. She is employed by Laura Ashley in Charlotte. Peeler is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James E. White Sr. of Kings Mountain. He graduated from Clemson University with B. S. in Ceramic Engineering and has eared a Master's degree from Alfred University in New York. He is currently a doctorate candidate at Clemson. The wedding will be an event of June 2 in Falls Church. Tammy Jolly and Austin Averett, the bride's nieces, were flower girls. Best man was Fritz King of Richmond, Va. Ushers were Dan Shaffer, Collin Shaffer and Ben Shaffer, all of Haddonfield, N. J., brothers of the bridegroom. A reception was held after the ceremony at Castle McCulloch, ; The rehearsal dinner was hosted on Friday evening at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro. Mauney From Page 1-B covered with lace and seed pearls, ended in a gathered sash which was fitted at the hips and flowed over a slim sheath skirt. The long, puffed sleeves, accented with seed pearls and sequined Alencon lace, were pleated at the shoulders and tapered to the covered buttons at the wrist. The back of the gown was finished with a candy-box bow and three tiers of crystal pleated fabric reaching to the hemline. Her headpiece was a cap of silk illusion encrusted with seed pearls and sequins. She carried a cascading bouquet of white sweetheart roses, cymbidium orchid- s,stephanotis and baby's breath mixed with maidenhair fern and ivy. Leigh Mauney Davis of Statesville and Kathlynn Mauney Kiebel of Littleton, Co., sisters of the bride, were bridal attendants. Mrs. Davis chose a pale pink waltz-length summer dress trimmed with eyelet em- broidered lace at the round neckline, sleeves and scalloped hemline. Mrs. Kiebel chose a periwinkle blue two-piece dress with scooped neck, elbow length sleeves and soft pleated skirt. They carried spring bouquets of pink alstroemeria and sweetheart roses, lavender and white freesia, daisies, baby's breath and ferns. The bridegroom's father was best man. Ushers were Gene Dennis Krist of Denver and Stephen A. Mauney of Kings Mountain, brother of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Frederick Mauney of Kings Mountain are par- ents of the bride who is granddaughter of Mrs. Carl FE. Mauney of Kings Mountain and Mrs. John M. Wagner of Statesville. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is employed as Production Manager of TNT Thermography Inc., Lakewood, Colorado. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh John Matheson of Evergreen, Colorado. A graduate of Colorado School of Mines in Golden with a B. S. degree in Mining Engineering, he is employed as Field Engineer for Vibra-Tech Inc. of Denver. The bridegroom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner April 20 at Kings Mountain Country Club. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Edith Jolly of Kings Mountain and the late Clinton Jolly. She is a 1979 graduate of Kings Mountain Senior High School, a 1983 graduate of Warren Wilson College and a 1986 graduate of Campbell University School of Law. Prior to her marriage, she practiced law in Winston Salem. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shaffer of Haddonfield, N. J.
