A softly gathered skirt fell from the Basque waistline and was encircled at the hemline with lace scallops and extended in back to form a Chapel train. Her fingertip veil of French illusion was caught to a wreath of porcelain and filaments. She chose an elongated nosegay of Sonja, Fresia, Dendrobium orchids, Queen Anne's lace, Alestromeria lilies and native ferns. Mrs. Jill Yarbro Hinson of Kings Mountain attended her sister as ma- tron of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Mary Elizabeth Blanton, Miss Jeri Melissa Rikard, sister of the bridegroom, Mrs. Regina Patterson Yarbro, sister-in-law of the bride, all of Kings Mountain, Miss Brooke Paige Farlow of Archdale, Mrs. Lisa Austin Schultz of Jacksonville, Fla. and Miss Robin Lee Warlick of Greensboro. All the attendants wore floor-length dresses of rainbow tapestry and Renoir green taffeta fashioned with portrait necklines and shirred sleeves. Thy carried nosegays of Alestromeria lilies, purple Statice, peach miniature carnations, beargrass loops, Monte Casino and delphini- um. Flower girls were Miss Ashley Marie Rikard of Anchorage, Alaska and Miss Lindsey Alanne Gaffney of Kings Mountain. Ringbearer was Lance Hunter Gaffney of Kings Mountain. Gerald Wayne Rikard of Kings Mountain was his son's best man. Ushers were Mark Avery Herndon, Robert Michael Hinson, brother- in-law of the bride, Matthew Wayne Rikard, brother of the bridegroom, and John Floyd Yarbro Jr., brother of the bride, all of Kings Mountain, Kevin Garrett Odenwelder of High Point and James Henderson Rikard of Anchorage, Alaska, brother of the bridegroom. The bride's parents hosted the wedding reception in the Social Hall of the church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Floyd Yarbro Sr. of Kings Mountain and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Latham Maxwell Wilson of Lawndale and John Edward Yarbro of Kings Mountain. She is a 1985 graduate of Kings Mountain Senior High School and received her B. S. degree in English from Appalachian State University in 1989. She is employed as manager of Tally Ho Ladies Clothier in Shelby. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Wayne Rikard and grandson of Mrs. Henry Loray Henderson and Mrs. James Bratton Rikard, all of Kings Mountain. A 1984 graduate of Kings Mountain Senior High School, he is employed by Motorpanels Incorporated. Shelby will be home for the newlyweds after they return from a wed- ding trip. The bride and bridegroom hosted the reception in the church fellow- ship hall following the ceremony. ° Mrs. Abee is the daughter of Mrs. Becky Pruitt of Kings Mountain, Steve Lovelace of Emerald Isle and Steve Sanders of Kings Mountain. She is a graduate of Kings Mountain Senior High School and is em- ployed at Dixie Yarns, Inc. of Gastonia. She is granddaughter of James Webster, the late Mrs. Annie Mae Webster and Mr. and Mrs. Odell Lovelace of Kings Mountain. The bridegroom is the son of Charles and Joan Abee of Ranlo. A graduate of North Gaston High School and Gaston College, he is em- ployed by Freightliner in Mount Holly. After a cruise to The Bahamas, the newlyweds will be at home in Belmont. The bride and bridegroom hosted the rehearsal party Friday evening at Maylo United Methodist Church for members of the two families and wedding party. Milewska and bridesmaids were Miss Halina Milewski of Gastonia, Miss Elzbieta Milewski of Kings Mountain and Miss Judy Hassler and Miss Colleen McCarville, both of Raleigh. All the attendants wore teal two-piece tea-length suits designed by Scott McClintock with imported lace collars, straight skirts and leg 'o' mutton sleeves. They carried long-stemmed blush roses. Jeff Pennington of Raleigh was best man. Ushers were Jeff Kellum, Mark Kellum, Phil Bullington, all of Greensboro, and Jim Brown of Raleigh. The bride's parents hosted a garden reception after the ceremony at their home at 1213 North Piedmont Avenue. The rehearsal dinner was hosted Friday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Kamienski in Gastonia. Mrs. Louise Drake was co- hostess. Mr. and Mrs. Andrzej Milewski of Kings Mountain are parents of the bride who is a 1981 graduate of Kings Mountain Senior High School. A 1985 graduate of Appalachian State University with B.S. in Special Education, she taught four years in Wake County Public Schools. She is employed by US Air as a flight attendant in Washington, D. C. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kellum of Greensboro. A 1977 graduate of Smith High School in Greensboro, he graduated from Appalachian State University in 1982 with B.S. in Business Administration. At ASU, he was a member of Lambda Chi fra- ternity. He has been employed by US Air since 1982 as a flight attendant and is currently based in Charlotte. After a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the newlyweds will re- side at 10109-I Plum Creek Lane in Charlotte. He has served as Chairman of the Committee on Mili- tary and Veteran Affairs, and the powerful House Rules Committee. In 1985, colleagues in the NC House of Rep- resentatives from Manteo to Murphy showed their confidence in Jack Hunt's leadership ability by unanimously electing him as Speak- er Pro Tempore, a position in which he served for four years. He was awarded the USS North Carolina Bat- tleship award “for outstanding service to the citizens and veterans of North Carolina” and was elected an honorary member of the NC National Guard “for conspicuous service to the cause of national defense.” He was appointed to represent the NC House in the National Conference of State Legislatures. He has served by appointment or by statute on many significant Legislative Commissions including Governmental Operations, Legisla- tive Services, Bicentennial Commission as the Speakers designee, and the Capitol Plan- ning Commission. Jack Hunt is a graduate of Lattimore High School, Wake Forest College and Emory Dental University. He is married to the former Ruby Crowder and has five daughters: Judy (Mrs. Hanse Kohler), Penny (Mrs. Jim Corn), Libby (Mrs. Paul Sarazen), Cindy (Mrs. David Martin) and Sally (Mrs. David Royster), and ten grandchildren.
