Lesley OCR BELIEF —m—m4m08 —40——————— WE BELIEVE - The fundamentals of Bible doctrine. These include the Bible as the infallible, inerrant, Holy Ghost inspired Word of God; the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Saviour of the world; His virgin birth; substitutionary death; bodily resurrection; His premillen- nial, pretribulation coming for the Church; His Millennial reign on the Earth; the person of the Holy Ghost as the indwelling presence of God of every believer; the Holy Ghost is Teacher, Guide, and Deliver of everybeliever. (A complete doctrinal state- i ment, articles of faith, constitution, and | by-laws are available upon request.) SUNDAY SCHOOL SUNDAY SCHOOL, at least here at Morning Star Bap- ® tist Church, is not just for children. It is for Moms, and Dads, and even Grandparents. With classes designed i for every age level, the entire family can attend and be E taught the word of God in a very reverent and practical i manner. The Bible tells us that we should "study to § showourselves approved unto God." The Sunday School hour helps all attendees carry out thatcommand, and to # implement Christian growth which depends ona steady diet and study of spiritual food from God's Word. (1 Peter 2:1,2; II Timothy 2:15; Romans 10:17) PHILOSOPHY —4m48M8MmMm8 —8M88—— MORNING STAR BAPTIST CHURCH is a Bible centered full-service church. Just as some banks claim to meet the full and com- plete financial needs of the family, it is our desire to meet the complete spiritual needs of each individual and family that is a part of our church. With this in mind we are con- stantly looking to the Lord for leadership and direction. We hope that our program is geared to meet the needs of the complete Christian character of our members. We also wish to reach the community and world with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in the New Testament manner set forth in scripture. With the enabling of the Holy Ghost we can carry forth this philosophy. TEENAGERS MISSIONS Believing the Great Commis- sion - Christ's last command is our first priority. He in- structed His followers to reach "Jerusalem" and the "Judea", and the uttermost parts of the world. In obedi- ence to that command the commission of Matthew 28:19-20 we have undertaken both home and foreign mis- sions. Morning Star supports thirty-six missionaries and mission work on the field with the missionary. As the Lord prospers us we take on new projects. TEENAGERS are the immediate future of our ministry, and we are committed to providing them with life long Biblical principles. Besides Sunday's regular programming, there is a special teen program in our AWANA Group held every Tuesday during the school season. Two groups (Jr. and Sr. High) meet for Bible study, fellow- ship, and inspiration. Trips, retreats, around add spice to the life of our teens. We believe that teens need the same diet of the Word of God today as they were given in past generations in order to live full meaningful lives in this day and hour. We also understand their need for and special activities year Christian friendship and activity in a day when satan and the world has much to offer. SCHEDULE CHILDREN AWANA - Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed - is an organized system of youth work for boys and girls from the ages of kindergarten years to 12the grade in high school. Our chapter meets on Monday evenings at 7:00 pm. Because we have many good volunteers as leaders we have a well presented program de- signed for the grade level of the children participating. Earning merit badges and other incen- tives give our youth, goals to achieve, and a well rounded Christian education. We want to enlist every young person we can into AWANA in order to win Jesus Christ and disciple them through our Christ and youth work.
