TREE op TEEN The 440th Army Band, North Carolina National Guard, will pre- sent a concert Sunday at 7 p.m. at Kings Mountain National Military Park Amphitheatre.The concert, free and open to the pub- The 440th Army Band, North Carolina National Guard, will pre- sent a concert Sunday at 7 p.m. at Kings Mountain National Military Park Amphitheatre. The concert honors the millions of men and women who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces of the Nation and commemorates over 200 years of independence this nation has enjoyed since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. There is no admission charge and the public is invited. In event of rain, the concert will be held in the Visitor Center Auditorium at the same time. Thursday, June 25, 1992 -THE KINGS MOUNTAIN HERALD-Page 7A Thieves hit Truck Plaza Apparently hungry thicves broke into Kings Mountain 1-85 Truck Plaza on Dixon Road Friday night or early Saturday and left with more than $1,300 in food. Gary Noble told the Cleveland County Sheriff's Department that he found the locks on two coolers pried off at 12:20 p.m. Saturday. Among the items taken were four pics, three boxes of beef stew, 10 pounds of pork chops, four cases of ' chicken, four cases of sausage pat- ties, cight boxes of cube steak, two cases of French fries, two boxes of flounder, two roasts, and a half a case of chicken livers. Investigators have the descrip- tion of a vehicle possibly involved in the break-in. No arrests have been made.
