= mt meeps Engagement ASHLIE RENEE WRIGHT WILLIAM VAN-ASHLEY DAVIS Wright-Davis The engagement of Ashlie Renee Wright and William Van-Ashley Davis, both of Charlotte, is announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Borders of Harrisburg and Jerry V. Wright of Concord. The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Rev. and Mrs. Robert G. Davis Sr. of Kings Mountain. A 1986 graduate of Shelby High School and a 1992 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, he is em- ployed by WCNC TV 36 and Cable ADNET of Charlotte. The bride-elect, granddaughter of Mrs. Wanza Goforth of Kings Mountain, is a 1986 graduate of Cabarrus High School and a 1990 grad- uate of Appalachian Sate University. She is employed as a teacher in the Cabarrus County Schools. The bride's parents hosted the reception after the ceremony at The Chariott in Hendersonville. The bridegroom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Friday night at Echo Inn. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thomas of Hendersonville are parents of the bride, who is the granddaughter of Paul and Evelyn Owens of Kings Mountain and Mrs. Eunice Thomas. A graduate of East Hendersonville High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she is employed as a physical therapist at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Marr of Windham, Maine. He is a graduate of American School Foundation in ° Mexico City, Mexico and Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA . After a wedding trip to Mexico, the newlyweds will be at home after October 20 at 211 St. Augustine St., Lynchburg, VA. The bride's grandparents of Kings Mountain were among local rela- tives who went to Hendersonville for the wedding festivities. The bride's mother, formerly of Kings Mountain, is the former Patricia Owens.
