RICHARD ALAN MASSEY (Mary Randolph Madison) Madison-Massey Tabb Street Presbyterian Church in Petersburg, VA was the setting July 10 for th 7 p.m. wedding of Mary Randolph Madison and Richard Alan Massey. The Rev. James G. Edwards of Bedford, VA officiated the ceremony for which Barbara Hord Fulton of Kings Mountain, cousin of the bride, was soloist and Bruce Leys was organist. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Madison Jr. of Petersburg and granddaughter of Mrs. John Byron Keeter of Kings Mountain and the late Mr. Keeter. Her mother is the former Jo Keeter of Kings Mountain. The bride is a graduate of the University of Virginia and is employed by Prince George County Public Schools. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Eugene Massey of Detroit, MI. A graduate of Western Michigan University, he is employed by Prince George County Public Schools. Escorted by her father, the bride wore her mother's wedding gown of ivory satin, designed with a Flemish collar of corded Chantilly lace, fit- ted bodice and full skirt, which extended into a long circular train. She wore matching lace mitts, fashioned with points over the hands. Her cathedral-length veil of French imported illusion flowed form a circlet of lace and pearls. She also wore a strand of pearls, which belonged to her maternal great-grandmother. She carried a cascade of gardenias, white roses and Nerine lilies. Honor attendant was Kathryn Madison Carter of Weddington, NC, sister of the bride. Bridal attendant was Anne Hord Gamble of Kings Mountain, cousin of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were Sarah Marlene Massey and Monica Ann Massey of Prince George, daughters of the bridegroom. Mary Kathryn Carter of Weddington, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Carolyn Madison Carter of Weddington, niece of the bride, was honorary flower girl. Kenneth Gerald Massey of Detroit was his brother's bet man. Ushers were Brian James Massey, brother of the bridegroom, Alan William Lindberg and Larry Longfellow, brothers-in-law of the bridegroom, all of Detroit, and Ryman Inman Carter of Weddington, brother-in-law of the bride. A reception was held in the social hall of the church. Mistress of cere- monies was Mrs. Dean Angell of Petersburg. Following a wedding trip to Bermuda, the newlyweds live in Prince George, VA. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom and his parents in the Lee Room at Fort Lee, VA. The bridal couple and out-of-town guests were entertained at a wed- ding brunch at the Country Club of Petersburg by Mr. and Mrs. Meredith Watson. Attending from Kings Mountain were Mrs. John Byron Keeter, Mrs. D. FE. Hord, aunt of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Corky Fulton, Sage and Charlotte, and Mr. and Mrs. John Gamble and John Byron, all cousins of the bride. MR. AND MRS. KEVIN "BRENT" BELL (Teresa Houser Carpenter) The home of the bride and bridegroom was the setting July 9 for the wedding of Teresa Houser Carpenter and Kevin "Brent" Bell. Rev. Ron Caulder, pastor of Oak Grove Baptist Church, officiated the ceremony. Katie Bell was child attendant. The bride's mother hosted the reception after the ceremony. Mrs. Bell is the daughter of Mickie Springs of Mount Holly and Rod Houser of Cherryville, both formerly of Kings Mountain. She is a gradu- ate of Kings Mountain High School and Gardner-Webb University and is employed by Hank -Fink Inc. of Kings Mountain. She is the grand- daughter of Ben T. and Juanita Goforth and Jack and Dee Smith, all of Kings Mountain. The bridegroom is the son of Giles and Della Bell of Kings Mountain and grandson of Gertrude Champion. He is a graduate of Kings Mountain High School and DeVry Institute of Technology. He is em- ployed by American Truetzchler in Charlotte. After a wedding trip to Hilton Head Island, SC, the newlyweds are at home in Kings Mountain. PREGNANT? LET US HELP!
