Soccer team wins two in tournament Kings Mountain High's soccer team opened its season recently by winning two of three games in the Gaston County Tournament. After a disappointing first game in which the Mountaineers lost to Hunter Huss 3-0, they bounced back to beat Cramerton Christian 3-1 and North Gaston 3-2. Wesley Bridges led the way with four goals and one assist. Bergen Hall and Chris Wallace also scored goals. Collin Goforth, Davis Jennings and Joe Page Jr. shared the goalkeeping duties. GW drops volleyball match to Lincoln Gardner-Webb's volleyball team lost a hard fought battle with Lincoln Memorial University in their home opener Tuesday night. The Lady Bulldogs won the first game, 15-11, behind outstanding performances by junior Gina McGee and freshman Kellie Williams. The Lady Railsplitters took the next two games 15-13 and 15-8, but the Lady Bulldogs won game four 15-13.
