: Page 2B MR. AND MRS. EDDIE L. MOTON (Pamela P. Lee) .Lee-Moton Pamela P. Lee of Gastonia and Eddie L. Moton of Lake Wylie, SC - were married June 8 in a private ceremony at the home of the bride- groom. The Rev. A. A. Bailey officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony. The bride is the daughter-of Bobbie and Clyde Price of Gastonia: She is employed by the Kings Mountain School District. The bridegroom, son of the late George Moton and of Mildre Moton of Gastonia, is employed by Preferred Finishing of Blacksburg, SC. After the ceremony a reception was hosted by the bride and bride- groom. Following a trip to Florida the newlyweds reside at Lake Wylie. Prenuptial parties honor Amanda Hambright Prenuptial parties honored Amanda Hambright, whose wedding to Danny Houser took place Saturday. Debbie Heavner, Marci Houser and Judy Houser enter- tained April 14 at Reeps Grove Methodist Church in Vale at a miscellaneous bridal shower. The bride-elect was presented a “corsage of miniature carnations. ~The 34 guests showered her with gifts. The fellowship hall was dec- -orated with flowers and candles ‘in the bridal motif of fuchsia and white. | Jeanette Childers, Cindy Mixter, Beth Allen and Olivia Mayhew = honored Miss Hambright at a drop-in shower May 5 in the Parlor of First Baptist Church in Kings ‘Mountain. The bride-elect and her mother, Mary Hambright, received miniature carnation corsages and the bride-elect re- ceived gifts from 30 guests. The bridal colors of fuchsia and white featured the decora- tive details. 4 : On May 14 the bride-to-be was honored at a surprise shower by her 7th Period Language Arts Class at West Lincoln Middle School. The room was decorated with bridal banners and balloons. A cor- sage of daisies was presented to Miss Hambright along with an assortment of gifts. Jeffrey Thomas, a student, en- tertained the class by singing the solo, "Wind Beneath My Wings." Party refreshments were served. Kim Eagle and Eleanor Scism honored Miss Hambright at a lingerie shower May 24 at the Scism home on Oak Grove Road. A lasagna dinner was served to 13 guests. The tables were decorated with candles and floral arrangements. A bridal luncheon May 21 at Satterfields was hosted by the bride-elect's mother, Ms. Gary Hambright. Miss Hambright took the occasion to present gifts of jewelry to her bridal at- tendants. She presented her flower girl, Chelsea Buchanan, with a bride Barbie. The faculty and staff at West Lincoln Middle School honored the bride-to-be at a brunch June 11. Picnic tables were covered with blue plaid tablecloths and decorated with greenery, pearls and ribbons. The bride-elect was presented a novelty cor- sage of cooking utensils. She is a 1993 gradu- ate of Kings Mountain High School and a 1996 graduate of Gaston College. She is em- | ployed by New Hope Family Medicine in Gastonia. The bridegroom is the son of Gerald Peppers and Jewell Peppers, both of Kings Mountain, and the grandson of Thomas and Hathleen Peppers of Caroleen, the late Mrs. Jessie Hord Camp, the late James R. Hord and the late Charles F. Camp, all of Shelby. A 1992 graduate of Kings Mountain High School, he attended Western Carolina University. He is employed by McKinney- Chrysler-Plymouth in Belmont.
