June 24, 2004 The Kings Mountain Herald Page 7A Mount Zion ends Vacation Bible School with a tun day Avis Comail Summer Camp Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Clinton A. Feemster held Rickshaw Rally Racing to the Son Vacation Bible School earlier this month. The weeklong Bible school ended with a fun day. Activities included games and food. The Kings Mountain Fire Department demonstrated its fire safety house. Zippidity Zoo Inc. brought its menageries. Participants mR were able to view exotic ani- mals and pet domestic crea- tures. Mauney Memorial Library, puppeteer Lou Ann Hannah and the Kings { Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church members enjoy a slip and slide during Bible school. Mountain Police Department also participat- ed. The Kings Mountain Rescue Squad brought its dunking booth. Each evening the school started with a matinee by Joyce Pressley. Mrs. Angela Gibbs, R.N. presented a health fair. She is the associ- ate pastor’s wife. Mary Kay consultant Cassandra Smith discussed skin care. Reflections dance studio under the direction of Susan Morris performed. Haywood Homsley, presi- dent of the African- American Political Caucus of Cleveland County spoke. George and Sharon Roberts . Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Bible School partici- ? pants are introduced to a lamb by Shannon Orth from Zippidity Zoo. Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church senior pastor Rev. Clinton A. Feemster hugs two young children. Gaston County Museum is offering a free drop-in day camp for children ages five through 12. Weekly themes include ‘Make A Quilt Square during the week of July 1; Mas- uerade Parade, July 8; Gaston Museum offering free drop-in day camps Game, July 22. Children under age three are welcome with an adult. Children ages 13 and older may volunteer. The museum is located at 131 West Main Street.
