Sunrise Baptist Church is the first church in Kings Mountain to offer this hassle-free, money-saving serv- ice to the community: Several volunteers were downstairs in the church on Friday afternoon getting ready to fill the nearly 188 orders that have come to their door this month. Tables, stretched along the walls in the room, were cov- ered with coolers and boxes of food. Two-year-old Savannah Humphries and three-year-old Ethan . Humphries were the youngest little helpers. With a cookie in his hand, Ethan was eager to push the cart behind Pastor Dennis Harmon. Harmon loaded it up and the. trip was ended with a high-five. Ethan was ready to go again. Savannah and Ethan helped hand off the merchandise to Cindy Harmon, who counted it twice. They were happy to help. For almost a year, the church has been providing Angel Food Ministries to the Kings Mountain community.
