Pat wrestlers win 12th match Photos by Gary Smart Kings Mountain Middle School's volleyball team finished fourth in the Tri-County Conference with a 7-3 record and is involved in the post-season conference championship playoffs this week. The Lady Patriots were scheduled to face Crest in the opening round Tuesday. The winner will face the RS Central-North Lincoln winner for the conference championship Kings Mountain Middle School’s wrestlers ran their Tri-County Conference re- cord to 9-0 and overall mark to 12-0 Tuesday with a 69-18 win over RS Central. The win clinched the #1 seed for the conference playoffs, which were sched- uled to begin yesterday. If the Patriots won that match, they will host the confer- ence championship Thurs- day at 4 p.m. Winners for KM were Aiden Wilson, Alexis Gar- cia, Lannden Zanders, David Bell, Jordan Line- berger, Estevan Chichester, Joe Ruffalo, David Ford, Ryan McRee, Zack Hum- phries, Isreal Martinez and Jeremiah Brown, KM JV boys defeat Burns Kings Mountain High’s JV boys ran their record to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the South Mountain Athletic Conference last Tuesday with a 28-25 victory over Burns at Donald L. Parker Gymnasium. Madisyn Bolin and Kavin Mosley led the Mountaineers with eight points each. Jadien Adams and Jake Merchant each had four points and four rebounds. Dylan Thrift and Mikey Medlin scored two points each. Scoring for Burns were Rice with 8, Wilson 5, Bridges 4, Epps 2, Robert- son 3, and McCluney 2. Lady Patriots beaten by RS Kings Mountain Middle School’s volleyball team fell to R-S Central 3-0 in a Tri-County Conference vol- leyball match last week. Kings Mountain was scheduled to participate in the opening round of the Tri-County champion- ship playoffs yesterday. The championship game is Thursday.
