Three women to be honored as 'Distinguished Women" Three Cleveland County women will be honored as “Distinguished Women” at the 24th annual banquet of the Cleveland County Commission for Women Thursday, Aug. 6, at 6:30 p.m. at the LeGrand Center in Shelby. Sliced almonds 1 can cream or chicken or cream of mushroom soup 1 stick margarine Y cup crushed potato chips Put potato chips and mar- garine on.top and bake 350 degrees about 20 minutes or until bubbly. x CHICKEN CASSEROLE Arlene Barrett 4 chicken breasts, stewed, save broth Cut in bite sized places Place in 8x12x2 baking dish Mix together: 1 can cream of chicken soup, 1 can cream of mushroom soup and Ys cup milk Pour over chicken and add 2 tablespoons margarine. Mix 2 cups chicken broth with 1 pkg stuffing mix. Spoon over chicken mix- ture. Brown in oven 400 degrees to 425 degrees for 30 minutes. Boston butt 2 onions sliced 3-5 whole cloves 1 18 oz. Hickorysmoked flavored bbq sauce 1/8 t. hot sauce cover roast with water. Add onions and cloves. Cook 2-2 % hours until tender. Drain and shred with fork. Combine pork sauces and cover. Cook over low heat 15-20 minutes.Stir often. Serve on buns, if desired, 12-14 servings. OVEN BAKED STEW BEEF Christine Ramseur 2 Ibs. Stew beef trim off some of the fat. Add: 1 can onion soup and 1 can mushroom soup un- diluted. Cover with foil and bake at 325 degrees for 3 hours. Serve over rice. Mayor Rick Murphrey climbed the ladder truck to drop beach balls as a large Ms. Moody will select first, second and third place prizes along with three merit awards. Artists from around the region will have their best work on display and for sale. Visit the gift shop with over 75 artists represented in the fine arts and crafts for sale to the public Tuesdays through Saturdays each week from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. iz group of youngsters en- joyed the festivities and re- ceived reading medals from Mauney Memorial Library. Dr. Parker and his wife, Allison, will be moving to Winston-Sa- lem, NC ‘where he will be joining a surgical practice in August. Dr Parker is the son of David and Jody Parker of Goldsboro.
