Mlaa Cynthia Kay Roblnaon became Mr. Hbdnett'a bride In a 4 p.m. wedding In Flrat Presbyterian CJiurch. Rev. Gary, Bryant, pastor of the church, heard the exchange of vows In the double-ring ceremony. Mrs. Darrell Austin waa organist, Sam Robinson, Jr., brother of the bride, was guitarist and Scott Rhea was vocalist for the program of nuptial music. Hie altar of the church was banked with greenery and enhanced by yellow and white flowers In terspersed with spiral tapers In wrought-lron candelabra. Dr. Sam L. Robinson escorted his daughter to the altar and gave her In marriage. The bride’s wedding gown was a formal design of Ivory dacron organza styled with high neckline, full, sheer sleeves and empire waistline. Her gown was complemented with silk Venlse lace and flowing. Chapel train. Her two- tiered waltz-length veil was trimmed with silk Venlse lace and attached to a lace-covered Juliet headpiece accented with pearls. She carried a bouquet of yellow and Ivory silk roses. Miss Anne Marie Gaumond attended the bride as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Robin Dickey of Kings Mountain and Charlotte, Miss Amy Hodnett of Spartanburg, S.C., sister of the bridegroom. Miss I.aura BlaKF'of Greensboro and Miss Kay Lawhon of Winston-Salem. All the attendants wore yellow SUesta gowns styled with blouson bodices and full, sunburst pleated skirts. Jim Dickey and Gudger played football together at Catawba College In Salisbury during the late 40'8 and in the first tangerine bowl In Orlando, Fla., Catawba vs. Maryville, Tenn., and In the second tangerine bowl. Lib Stewart also In Orlando, when Catawba played Marshall College of West Virginia. Catawba won both games.
