Entries are now being accepted for Men's Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles teams. Players can pick up an entry form from Paul Mitchell, Ed Guy or at the Sports Center in Gastonia. The deadline for en tries will be July 30. Dates, times and places of first round matches will be posted August 1 at the Deal St. Tennis Courts. Play begins Saturday morning at 9 a.m. Players should be prepared to play at least two matches per ^y. All finals will be played late Sunday afternoon. Fla., on Sat.. July 12. SccHt won out over 26 other contestants. The next step of competition w ill be held in Jacksonville. Scott is the son of Bill and Pat Carrigan, who moved from Kings Mountain to Ocala, in 1975. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. .Arthur Carrigan and the late Ozelle Brooks of Kings Mountain. Finals Set For Saturday Junior Tourney Underway The second annual Junior Tennis Tournament got under way Saturday with early round matches in four age categories. Tom Cox Tuesday night. The winner of the match will play in the finals on Saturday at Deal Street Tennis Courts. * In the girls 14 and under, Ashley McGinnis stopped J.J. Warlick, 6-1, 6-0. Susan Moore crushed Kimberly McGinnis, 6-0, 60. In the girls 18 and under, Kim Moss defeated Kim Gladden, 6-3,6-0. Elizabeth McGill blank ed Lisa Roark, 6-0,6-0. In the boys 14 and under, Scott Bryant smashed Tommy Dover, 6-0, 6-0. Shan Adams won by forfeit over Mark West. In the boys 18 and under. Jay Schronce handled Mike Corn- well, 61, 64. Greg Hambright breezed p«t Chuck Walker, 62, 6-0, as Tommy Buckannan over Bobby Huffsteler, 61,60. On Sunday Chuck Walker defeated Bobby Huffsteler, 6-1, 60, and Tommy Buckannan continued his run toward the finals by defeating Greg Ham- bright 6-0, 6-1.
