The class will begin in the Fall with the first section beginning on September 14, through October 12. The second section will begin on October 19, and will run through November 16. In order to receive the two hour credit, students must take both sections of the Stocks and Investment Seminar^orkshop study. The classes will meet on Mondays from S:30 pan. until 920 p.m. The Stocks and Investment SeminarAVorkshop will be taught by Reggie Hundley of Ed ward D. Jones and Company, Gastonia. Edward D. Jones and Company is a member of the New Y ork Stock Exchange. Registration will be held dur ing the regular Fall Quarter Registration on Thursday, September 3, in the Myers Center on the Gaston College Campus. Auditions Set , At Gaston DALLAS—The North Carolina Multi-Dimensionalists (NCMD) will hold auditions at Spirit ^uare, room 302 at Gaston College, for dancers with skills in improvisation and inter pretive movement. The auditon ^ Craig Mayes Earns Weeks Scholarship Craig J. Mayes, son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Mayes of Kings Mountain, Rt. 2, has been awarded a Lloyd T. Weeks Scholarship at North Carolina ^ State University for the 1981-82 ^ academic year. The scholarship is given to a student enrolled in the School of Education. Mayes is a sophomore, major ing in agricultural education. will be held on Saturday, August 29, at 10 a.m. Six dancers are needed, one of which must be a strong female lead. There will be compensation for one week of rehearsal culminating in the performance of “July White Ice Death Rain.. Bow”, an interpretive poem by B. Graham Weathers, Jr. The performance will be held on Saturday, October 10, at 8 p.m. in the Myers Center Auditorium on the Gaston College Campus. Choreographer is Stewart Dunsmore, Drama instructor at Gaston College. Dancers should bring a pk> ture, resume, and be prepared to perform. Dr. Wayne Scott, President, has announced that David W. Hoyle, President, of Summey Building Systems, Inc., will ad dress the graduates and their guests. Hoyle attended The Citadel and received his BA. from Lenoir-Rhyne College. He is a member and Chairman of the Board of the Lenoir-Rhyne Col lege Board ofTrustees. He is a former Alumni Association President and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Pied mont Educational Foundation. Hoyle is a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church in Dallas, and is a member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Gaston Memorial Hospital, a member of the Board of Directors of Gastonia Mutual Savings and Locm Association, a member of the Board of Ad visors of Independence National Bank, and a Board Member of the North Carolina Department of Transportation, district 12, appointed in 1977 by Governor Jim Hunt. He is married to the former Linda Summey and is the father of two children. Dr. Wilson W. Sneed, Rector of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Gastonia, will lead the invoca tion and benediction prayers.
