A reception was held follow ing the wedding in the church fellowship hall. After their wed ding trip, the newlyweds will reside in Kings Mountain. BRIDE AND GROOM The bride is the daughter of Barbara Duvall of 311 Oakwood Circle, Gastonia, and John Duvall of Gastonia. She is a graduate of Hunter Huss High Schol and employed by Ken tucky Fried Chicken. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Davis and Mrs. Ethel Duvall. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman D. Wright of Route 4, Kings Mountain. He is a graduate of Kings Mountain High School, is a member of the National Guard and is employed by Duke Power. He is the grand son of Travis Wright. Mixters Are Wed From Pago 1-B with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administra tion. She is employed with the Wade County Tax Collector’s Office in Raleigh. The groom is the son of An drew J. Mixter of Lansing, Mich., and Mrs. Sue W. Pope of Brevard. He is a 1974 graduate of Maine South High School in Park Ridge, Ill., and a 1977 graduate of Brevard College with an Associate of Arts Degree. He is presently a junior at N.C. State and is majoring in Electrical Engineering. Following a wedding trip to Ocean City, Md., the newlyweds will make their home in R^eigh. Falkenborgs Married From Pago 1-B After a wedding trip to Ireland, the newlyweds will make their home at 8729-H Broomsage Lane, Charlotte. BRIDE AND GROOM The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Corbet H. Nicholson of Kings Mountain and the granddaughter of Mrs. Alice Nicholson. She is a 1975 graduate of Kings Mountain Senior High School and graduated from Appalachian State University in 1979 with a BA. degree in political science. She was active in Student Government and was President of the Young Democrats in 1977 and 1978. She is employed by Moore and Van Allen, at- ^meys, in Charlotte. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip E. Falkenborg of Manassas, Va., and the grand son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Falkenborg of Logan, Utah, and Henry Rasmussen of Jamesville, Wis. He graduated from Lewiston Porter Senior High School in 1974 and served five years with the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Dyess (DD-880). The bride’s mother chose a formal gown of evening blue and wore a corsage of white roses. Kim Whisnant of Kings Mountain kept the register and Jo Anne Rushing directed the wedding. Wedding programs were distributed by Tracy Smith and John Fleming. In the entrance hall, a table held an open Bible to the love story of Ruth. It was surrounded by greenery and candles. KIWANIS CLUB The Kings Mountain High football coaching staff will be guests of the Kings Mountain Kiwanis Club at its regular week ly meeting Thursday night at the Woman’s Club. The coaches will discuss the prospects for the 1981 season. The bride’s parents hosted a reception following the ceremony in the church fellowship hall. The table featured a double three-tiered wedding cake with waterfall between the two cakes, made by Mrs. Norman Davis. The punch table featured a melon basket, vegetable sand wiches, sausage balls, mints, nuts, ham bisquits and pickles. The table was covered with a lace cloth which was hand-made by the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. W.F. Fleming. Rice bags were displayed ont he gift table. Mrs. Marty Childers and Mike Chambers sang during the reception, accompanied by Kathy McDaniel. Lisa Smith and Pam Burrelson served punch. Jane Freedell and Donna Fitch cut and served the cake, assisted by Juanita Fleming and Becky Brooks. The groom’s father, Edward Gordon Campbell, and his brother, Scott Campbell, enter tained at an after-rehearsal party at the Kings Mountain Country Club. Featured was a groom’s cake, which was made in resemblance of the groom’s privately-owned 18-wheeler truck. Melonball, sandwiches, meat balls, vegetable dish and dip were served to the guests. For her going-away dress, the bride chose a navy blue three- piece suit and used the white roses from her wedding bouquet as a shoulder corsage. Following a wedding trip to the Virgin Islands, the newlyweds will be at home at Lake Montonia. Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Campbell Jr. of Wilmington, Del., Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Wright of Swannanoa, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Wright Jr. of Hendersonville, Mr. and Mrs. W.B. BRIDE AND GROOM Mr. and Mrs. Carl A. Bridges of Kings Mountain are parents of the bride. She is a 1980 graduate of Kings Mountain Senior High School and attended Gaston College. The bridegroom is the son of Edward Gordtxi Campbell Sr. and the late Betty Wilson Camp bell. He is a 1972 graduate of Kings Mountain Senior High School and graduated from Gaston College.
