JUNE, 1962 THE PIBDMONITOR PAGE THREE PIEDMONITOR PIX Pilots of executive aircraft now have a brand-new lounge in which to wait while their respective airplanes are receiving overhaul and inspec tion by Piedmont's maintenance crew. It is included in the new of fice space just finished in the INT hangar. ■ New quarters were recently fin ished at INT to meet the demands of several constantly-expanding de partments. Above is a portion of the Engineering Department's new home. Built above the radio shop in the INT hangar, the new area contains 3,000 square feet. The old quarters vacated have been taken over by the Purchasing Department, which is finding that the larger the company grows, the more things there are to buy. Is* i Now smile pretty tor the camera — and so Miss America did. Maria Beale Fletcher is shown arriving in INT via Martin 404 to attend the Winston-Salem Junior Chamber of Commerce beauty pageant. The lovely Miss A was met by Jaycee President Porter Gray (left). Framed in the afternoon shadows, this Lexington passenger was the last to board the final scheduled DC-3 flight operating out of Blue Grass Field. Flight 355 made its last run through LEX March 14.
