Hide all ashtrays, matches, etc. Lay in a supply of sugarless gum, carrot sticks, etc. Drink lots of liquids, but pass up coffee or alcohol. Tell everyone you’re quitting for the day. When the urge to smoke hits, take a deep breath, hold it for 10 seconds and release it slowly. Exercise to relieve the tension. ROBERT ZEMECKIS He was never m time for his classes... Similar in appearance to a credit card, it may also be used similarly with one major difference. If students follow the rules of Whitaker Library regarding use of the card, they need never pay any balance, in full, minimum payment, service charge, or annual fee. The card—a small, plastic rectangle—is imprinted with vital information that identifies it as a library card that is the property of one, individual student. Upon receiving the card, the student should sign it. In addition to the signature, there is an identifying number, and records in the library tie that number to a specific student. As is the case with a credit card, whenever the library card is used, the number is imprinted on library materials, and the number identifies the student responsible for that By Sarah Da^is material. The card must be used anytime students check out anything to take out of the library or special material to be used in the library, such as reserve books or records. In addition to the library card, students need their ID’S when checking out materials. By following the instructions given them in writing when they receive the cards and orally when they are brought to the library for orientation, students will find that this card can be the nicest kind of credit card to have. It gives them free access to 85,000 hooks, 12,500 reels of microfilm, 2,800 microfiche, and 2,300 records. In addition to these items that must be checked out with the library card, there are many aspects of the library students may enjoy without using their card. IT IS A QUIET PLACE.
