MRS. GLOVER'S ROOM ENGAGES IN MANY ACTIVITIES Interesting activities carried on in Mrs • Glover’s class this year, include the Hhythm Band^ Halloween Play, Making Flower Box, Hobbies , Shadowgraph Play# and Finger-Painting. The grade gave a program of Rhythm Band imisic at P.T*A. The boys and girls dressed in white and wearing red and vdiite caps rendered a most enyoy able program. The grade won a dollar for having the highest percentage of parents present. On the night of the Halloween Festival the class gave the play,"The Right Way to Celebrate Halloween." Everyone should see the Flower Box in Mrs • Glover’s room. The boys and girls have kept the flowers well watered and the flowers have grown rapidly. It is a beauti ful sight to see the tall plants surrounded with wandering Jew. In with center of the table there is a bird perched on a small fence* The children made a study, about hobbies • They decided to adopt collecting as their hobby. In connection with their reading they collected ftn^niAl Pictures, Bird Pictures 9 and Queer As It Seems Pictures and made booklets# Having Shadoi^aph Plays is a most interestjj]g activity. The class made a carton into a stage with vAlte tissue paper as a screen. A flash light was used to produce the nec essary lighting. The ani mal characters and stories flrom their reading books were used. Giving the play was lots of fun. The class had a good time with the new experi ence of finger painting • It is very fascinating , The class wishes to do more of that type of art in the future. STUDENTS LEARN POLK DANCES The fourth grade students have learned folk songs and dances in their music and physical education classes. They have learned dances of many different countries.
