:HiTTTTq[i;pr?i:i •) #' Senior Citizens Entertained The Vanceboro Christian Church held its annual Christmas party honoring the Vanceboro Community’s Senior Citizens on December 11,1977. There was a large attendance to this event. The Senior Citizens numbered approximately one hundred twenty five. Refreshments Were served while the church choirs rendered favorite Christmas season songs. Special musical talents were presented by Todd Chesson on the drums and Jessica Chesson as a vocalist. The highlight of the afternoon was the recognition of the oldest Senior Citizen. This recognition was gpven to a former Vanceboro resident, Mr. Jim Harris. He told the group his age is 99 years young. He played a few songs on his violin just to show the g^oup that you never get too old to enjoy beautiful music. The group departed feeling uplifted with the spirit of Christmas and were very grateful to the Christian Church for having this event each year for them to renew acquaintances and to share in the fellowship of the Christmas season.
