Students Learn From Policeman Chief Kennedy from the Riverbend Police Department visited Mrs. Nell Armstrong’s and Mrs. Cindy Weeks’ sixth graders at West Craven Middle School. He talked to their homebase and science classes about drugs and shoplifting. The main idea about shoplifting was that if you took one piece of gum, it would be stealing. During the presentation on drugs. Chief Kennedy encouraged us not to even try marijuana or any drug. He said that once you have started, it becomes a habit. Then he let us smell some marijuana wafers. Chief Kennedy really gave us some valuable information during this important lesson.
