Thursday, July 17, i 960 Miss Spruill Attends FFA Conference Miss Diana Joy Spruill of the Creswell FFA Chapter at Creswell High School attended a Regional FFA Leadership Conference for State Officers last week. The conference was held at Camp John Hope in Georgia. This is one of nine regional conferences being held across the nation. The FFA Conference is designed to improve leadership and com munication skills, develop an understanding of state FFA officer responsibilities and prepare state officers for more effective leader ship roles in their State FFA Association. The Conference is also a forum for exchange of ideas between officers from several states. Besides the training sessions, the 1980 program includes a public speaking workshop, an FFA quiz contest, and a banquet program, all designed to improve the communication skills of state FFA officers. A highlight of the Con ference is the opportunity to work with the National FFA Officers that are conducting the Conferences. The National Officers bring a wealth of experiences to the conferences having traveled thousands of miles working with FFA members and informing the public about FFA activities. Diana Joy, 18, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Edward Spruill of Roper. Her vocational agriculture instructor is Jesse D. Melton.
