The loud and energetic Char lotte band Fetchin Bones have mended their ways and are back with only a few lineup changes. One of their first shows since reforming will be at the Cat's Cradle on Friday. Their show at the club in the fall, one of their last before disforming, was packed so be sure to get there early and check out area band Safe house before the show. Saturday, Cat's Cradle will host six local bands in a benefit concert for itself to improve its sound and light systems. The live music club hopes to raise $1,500 for new equipment like microphones and monitors, said Frank Heath, co-owner of the club. The concert will be broken down into two parts. The after noon session will feature Dexter Romweber, who is receiving lots of critical acclaim for his work in the defunct Flat Duo Jets, and Billy Warden and the Floating Children, who are changing the guard at bass. The afternoon show will begin at 3 p.m. and will be open to all ages. After a dinner intermission, the Cradle will reopen at 8:30 p.m. with UV Prom, Satellite Boyfriend and Mary on the Dash, formerly the Smoking Phones. Mama Spank, a band of area all-stars that plays heavy metal hits from the 70s, will also perform. A video of Snatches of Pink will also be shown. The evening session is open only to those over 18 years of age. The afternoon session will cost $3, while the evening concert will be $5. The cost is $6 for those who want to attend both shows. - r f ft wm 1 Fetchin Bones will perform at Cat's Cradle on Friday FINAL WEEK HELD OVER BY DEMAND!
